He's mean, tough, fierce and aggressive. Toailoa plays inside linebacker with fury and vengeance and goes after quarterbacks and running backs aggressively to make a lot of plays. Another thing that's impressive about Toailoa is his ability to get out and cover down the field. He runs like a safety and hits like an 18-wheeler. -- Adam Gorney, West Coast analyst

Hopefully we can make an impact but he almost committed to UCLA during the season so I think we have quite a bit of work to do.

I just got off the phone with an LA HS know it all. He said Toailoa is an RKG. He said he's the type of kid who could leave SC or the PAC.

Interesting. He's the same guy who called ESB Irish in July and is the self proclaimed Joe Schmidt fan club president... even though he's an SC grad.

He also said statistically, SC is the obvious choice for Marshall but he would not be shocked if he chose ND or another school on NSD. The kid knows how good he is and it doesn't matter where he goes, he's the man wherever.

Remember, he's an SC guy who hates ND.

He didn't say he WILL leave, just that he could as he is basing it on the kid marching to the beat of his own drum. Who know's? Just as long as he doesn't go to SC.

Not the first time this has happened. It's always a good move to show kids they are a priority on big days like NSD (or if you go to a bowl game). You call them on that day while you're appearing on National TV and kids love it.

Glad to see Kelly doing this. And for all the dogging Elliot gets for being old, I like him. Lots of wisdom there. Combine wisdom with young energy in other coaches and I think it's a great thing.

Cal, Utah, and UCLA are planned upcoming visits. No mention of visiting ND but did say that ND is one of the schools recruiting him the hardest and he talks with Coach Elliot the most of any coaches. He said he'd like to play with his brother Leni and that might play into his decision. Oregon is currently recruiting him as well.
