I think Blake is doing more recruiting than we may see. TJ at II stated that he has been very active and he's not just doing it on social media for everybody to see. I'd be surprised if he wasn't in contact with ESB.

I believe you and thanks for sharing. With only one MAYBE two spots left at WR, I'm sure Blake and the staff are very aware of 'who's at the top' of their board.

I'm just impatient, lol.

Haha

so Steve called him out? I missed it.

No, as you may have seen recently the CB has become a major issue of contention at BGI. Wiltfong was making a comment that everybody missed the CJ Sanders CB not just Loy. Then Wiltfong made some comments about how the CB process should be viewed.

Scout: He is now going to go through the process and will not announce early. He wants to see the teams he likes on the field. Visiting ND and NW, probably around June 12-13. I guessing before or after that date because he is attending the Sound Mind, Sound Body camp in Michigan which is that weekend. USC, UCLA and Stanford are in it as well.

My money is on UCLA.

Damn it I want this guy to get in contact with Blake.

I'll go bananas if Blake gets an elite WR in this class.

They don't live that far away from each other. I would bet that they do know each other.

USC insider that I trust just said that Brown dropped Stanford, and he thinks it's a USC-ND battle, fwiw...

So now it comes out today on SC Rivals that USC isn't the lock everyone thought they were, and that Stanford and ND are right there in the mix bc of how much he truly doesn value education and it isn't just lip service. After one insider (beyond pro-USC) posted that USC was still looking good, USC Rivals' main reporter comes out and says that he thinks Stanford is the one to beat right now.

Gotta love recruiting...

At this point, its hard to see a kid who's super-serious about academics leaving California for ND when he has an offer from Stanford. USC and UCLA are not far behind either.

Been waiting for this offer for a while. St. Brown hails from Troy Niklas' old high school. Really like this kid.

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p>Following his offer from <a href="https://twitter.com/search?q=%23NotreDame&src=hash">#NotreDame</a>, Anaheim (Calif) Servite WR Equanimeous St. Brown said the Irish join his top 3 with <a href="https://twitter.com/search?q=%23USC&src=hash">#USC</a> <a href="https://twitter.com/search?q=%23Stanford&src=hash">#Stanford</a></p>— Greg Biggins (@GregBiggins) <a href="https://twitter.com/GregBiggins/statuses/438149400137711616">February 25, 2014</a></blockquote>
<script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

Texted a friend who is a classmate of his and told him to work him a little. As you can tell by offers and top 3 he said he is very smart and takes academics seriously.

wow impressive saw a tweet he wants to make a summer decision.

Scout: Talking with his dad to finalize a spring or summer visit to ND. No leader.

USC, Stanford, and ND.

He doesn't know a lot about ND yet but he and his parents will sit down and research it. He knows the education is great. He doesn't know Niklas personally but he knows Troy liked it and did very well here. He will visit, sounds like it will be in the summer.

He wants to sign somewhere with a really good QB commit. He follows Barnett on Twitter and plans on talking to him soon.

Distance won't be a factor. He has lived in France and has made summer trips to Germany. He enjoys the opportunity to see new places.

This is the WR I most want

Scout: Top 5 Stanford, USC, ND, NW, Tennessee. Major is finance. A major factor in his decision will be how a school can help him for life after football.

Based on his comments about each school, I would say the top 3 are the schools listed above as well.

Just says will visit this spring. I haven't watched to many WR highlight tapes on Youtube but I did watch St. Brown's and was extremely impressed.

USC insider that I trust just said that Brown dropped Stanford, and he thinks it's a USC-ND battle, fwiw...

Was reading a ND article on ESPN and this video popped up: St. Brown talks USC, Stanford and more - ESPN Video - ESPN

When discussing his recent trip to Stanford he says they talked a lot about education and that education is important to him as there is life after football. A few minutes later he says he wants to play in the NFL after 3 years, "3 and done".

I'm not going to draw any conclusions from watching this video, but it certainly didn't give me the warm and fuzzies about him ending up at ND. Seems like a well-spoken young man though.

Simmons threw down a CB to ND.

Just informed BGI that he is visiting in June but doesn't think it will be for II. I'm ok with him not coming for camp because I think he needs the red carpet treatment.

Loy but in a CB for ND.

Please don't shoot the messenger and I think we know the range of opinions on this topic.

Here's a snapshot of his thread. Gotta like that some have reported Stanford/USC in or out, but ND has been in for every report. My hopes are up now, but reading your comments, I will not watch his highlight tape until he commits. I can't stand that heart break, lol.

I vote we ban West Coast Domer if he doesn't have an update from his friend by high noon. All in favor?

St. Brown plans to make the Irish Invasion in June and fits the Irish on paper coming from Servite, which produced Troy Niklas. He has a similar skill set to Miles Boykin. Both will be at the Rivals Five-Star Challenge.

If ESB wants to be Irish, there will be a spot for him. I have to wonder what that means for Boykin and Newsome, however, especially if ESB stretches his recruitment out. Are both takes as well? Five WR in the class with Guyton and Sanders seems excessive, given our current depth at the position. Yes, it's unrealistic that all 5 would commit to ND come February, but I'm curious what the plan could be going forward.

ESB, Boykin and Newsome -- hard to say no thanks to any of those guys.

Coach says academics are extremely important to him. Good kid off the field. Trying to narrow down list to a more manageable number.
