Time to explore another great off season thread topic?

I think picking your favorite humorist, comedian or personality, is a great idea. Extra points fore cerebral content. I am talking about people that make you laugh without relying on foul language and sex; that should have it's own category. A good rule of thumb is George Carlin counts, because he uses words, his skit is not about them. Okay so "Seven dirty words" is. But I mean it isn't exclusively based upon them. So George Carlin is on this side of the line. But the line is probably kissing his ass.

I think of my dad that was one of the funniest guys I ever knew, and I am not sure the majority of people around him even were in on the joke; my influence has been that dry Irish wit. And a bit of the leg tugging that goes along with it. Skits, as well as standup are encouraged.

I will start with a really funny guy, who has a little bit of everything when it comes to humor :

Louis C.K. is my favorite comedian at the moment. Don't think I've ever watched a stand up or an episode of his TV show without laughing out loud.

Not really comedians but the guys from Workaholics are impossible not to laugh at.
