heard that he was the only guy, ever, where every single movie he was ever in won an acadamy award, for something...

Like Bernard Smith, too.

Gandhi, Titanic, Lord of the Rings Trilogy, True Crime, The Ghost and the Darkness, and the Wind in the Willows.

Classic in this film, but his best was Rounders IMO.

I would put Miller's Crossing up there.

Was reading this article on Clancy Brown over at Yahoo!:

Clancy Brown: That Guy From That Thing (Who You Definitely Know)

I am a movie nut and I know I have seen him in a billion things and always know I will enjoy at least the scenes he is in.

One of my other favorite character actors is Ron Perlman. He too usually means something good for at least his scenes.

Made me wonder if any of you guys have any favorite character actors you enjoy seeing...even if you don't know their name, you can ID them by a character they played or their face.

Have at...

I know Brown's voice a lot better. He is and was the voice for Lex Luthor in just about every animated iteration since the days of the 1990s, from the days when Batman (Kevin Conroy) and Superman (Tim Daly, of "Wings" fame) both had animated series at the same time.

And to this day, I think that if you asked anyone they would tell you that they associate their voices with those Batman and Lex Luthor, because they are such great voice actors, as well.

Brown is great. He was one of the supporting actors, along with James Whitmore that made Shawshank a great movie in my opinion.

Steve Buscemi

I know he's more recently a leading role actor, but I remember him more for the character actor work he's done such as every Adam Sandler movie.

Parting Glances, New York Stories, Mystery Train, Reservoir Dogs, Desperado, Con Air, Armageddon, The Grey Zone, Ghost World, Big Fish, Miller's Crossing, Barton Fink, The Hudsucker Proxy, Fargo and The Big Lebowski.

He also starred in a play called "The Indian Wants the Bronx" with Al Pacino. Written by Israel Horovitz. Ad Rock's dad. So he's got that connection too. :)

His list of movies is amazing

Two of his best roles right there. He was also good in Clash of the Titans, and he was in a number of Twilight Zone episodes. The one where he played the devil was fantastic.

Is it too late to do a "That Guy" bracket challenge? I think Bogs gave us our list of 64.
