What an awful game.

I feel bad for Atkins, he was really bad today. Not the way you want to go out.

Sherman was himself. Made a few good moves, but gave up twice as many uncontested lay-ups (Thomas made him look silly a few times catching it at the elbow, went right by him).

Knight was nowhere.

I just don't understand why we don't see more Beecham in a game like this.

And Carl Hess is f'ing pathetic. The no call when Auguste got fouled (and he made the "all ball" sign) was just awful. If you miss that call, right in front of you, you should not be allowed to officiate. Luckily the guy up top, 35 feet away, saw it (and probably felt it).

Why does Mike Brey even show up to these games? Play man-to-man, force 3 straight turnovers. Switch to zone, Wake drains another open 3. Play man-to-man again and force a miss. All year this team has had no clue how to play the 2-3 zone yet we still keep going back to it.

I agree...could not believe they went to the 2-3. SU gets away with that because they are usually exceptionally "long" and can still contest many of the jump shots. You need to live the 2-3 to be good at it. Crazy he stopped doing what was working.

It was definitely a bad showing in the ACC tournament and a bad season all around. However, the biggest thing about today's game for me is that it was the final game for Eric Atkins. He has been my favorite player since his freshman year. A three time captain and excellent representative of Notre Dame.

Agreed Shawnee. EA was great his freshman year coming off the bench when we were a top 10 team and he's always had a great attitude. I really wish there was some way for him to come back and play with Grant next year.

Over my 4 years at ND I've attended nearly every conference game and a lot of non-conf games as well and it's been sad to see the program fall from where it was my freshman year. I'm really not sure that adding Grant makes us that much better as Brey says the goal for next year is a .500 conference record. With nothing outside of the 2013 class popping out to me I don't see much hope for the future of ND hoops.

Also really wish this tourney was in the Garden. Big East semis was Providence-Seton Hall and Creighton-Xavier. Yuck. That conference doesn't deserve the Garden.
