Hate to take solice in a loss, but great effort tonight. They can talk about Grant/Fair's off games all they want, but the show Cooney put on far offset that I think.

We win this damn game with Grant. Or with a Demetrius Jackson who is half the prospect everyone says he was. 0-1 really? I'm sure he'll get better, but Vasturia is bringing much more to the table now than Jackson is.

Hope they turn this into a good performance against North Carolina. If they can go on a run at home against UNC and Clemson and then on the road against BC and Miami, arguably the two worst ACC teams, I'll be happy.

I'm really impressed by Vasturia. He plays fearlessly, which is refreshing to see in a freshman. I think Demetrius is struggling with all the expectations that people had for him and has been playing tight. Hopefully that will get better with time. If only we could have a serviceable big man in the coming years, this team could actually be alright. But lack of size will be their downfall over the next year or two at least.

Really good effort. Think we're a tourney team for sure with Grant. Lot of close losses sandwiched around the Virginia game.

Such a snakebit year with Cam, Grant, and Burg. Plus Knight missing close to a month.

If I'm Atkins, I'm not too thrilled that Grant pissed away my senior year for me.

Sitting here in Mayberry watching UNC play at Notre Dame in an ACC matchup. Feels wierd, I like it! Go Irish!

Could easily be up ten at the half but instead down 4. Turnovers and bad defensive rebounding let Carolina turn a 9 point deficit around.

Watching Garrick Sherman drives me crazy.

Sit all our bigs. They're all bad.

Rebounds:

Sherman 2
Knight 2
Auguste 2
Burgett 0

Connaughton 6
Vasturai 4

The no call on the Auguste dunk attempt that would have put us up 10 I believe was a huge point in the game. Team had momentum. Crowd was in it.

What....in.....the......fuck

I mean granted he was really struggling as a freshman. But his potential is really high.

Assuming this is going where I think it's going, this would be the equivalent of Kelly losing 17 scholarships players to suspension or transfer in one season. And having 5 wins and 7 losses (assuming we go about 2-5 the rest of the season).

DJ leaves. Pat goes pro in Baseball. Grant doesn't come back.

Next year, by my count, we have 8 guys on scholarship next year (and that's counting Torres).

Sorry, I haven't followed any of this. Is he potentially leaving due to struggling academically or wanting to transfer?

I'd lean towards transferring...If he was struggling that badly, it would've happened at the end of last semester. That is unless there were conditions that he didn't hold up to, if on probation. However, I haven't heard anything about him struggling. I believe if his style of play wasn't being suppressed, he'd be doing very well right now...You can't get into any kind of rhythm when you average 3-4 shots a game, if that.
