MVP ... What does MVP mean? Most valuable recruit right now in light of the current depth chart, or guy who will prove to be the most valuable member of the class going forward?

If the former, my pick is Morgan (although I like Hayes for his versatility along the DL ... Morgan is just a really talented guy at a position of critical need).

If the latter, my pick is Trumbetti. I think in three years he will be the cornerstone of our defense.

Most Intriguing -- Tranquill

Biggest Sleeper -- Kolin Hill (not sure if he's really a sleeper any more ... is anyone, on this board?)

Most to Prove -- Luatua

Beginning to lean towards Kizer having the most to prove, at least to ND fans and others. With the talent ahead of him and coming in behind him, he's going to have to really work hard to develop to make his impact on field at ND. Ditto for Zaire.

Most interesting thing to me was Wiltfong giving Bars so much love, after a couple II guys put him in the most-to-prove category.

MVP - Morgan. (the best player in our class, at a position of major need)
Most Intriguing - Brent (he feels like a guy who can walk in and play, and do some real damage a couple of years from now).
Biggest Sleeper - Hill. Bonner. Williams (a lot of three-stars with big upside in this bunch).
Most to Prove - Luatua (for a highly-rated guy at a position we've historically done well with, he's not getting much love)

Curious about the "Most to Prove" naming Alex Bars. Did he have a down year or not perform well in the Under Armour game?

He had a decent game, but Bars was pretty much owned in practice by Myles Garrett. Can't really blame him since Garrett is the best pass rusher in the class and these AA games are undeniably defense-biased.

Jhonathan Williams

I will be surprised if he makes a splash. I hope he proves me wrong

Not to mention that outfit he showed up in for his signing!

Seriously, this thread is full of good thoughtful answers! Hard not to see anyone's logic.

I think part of that is this is a potential class full of sleepers. I know I have a hard time separating out wishful thinking, but I really have a feeling that this whole class could be way underrated. Sure the "average" player in this class got a boost in ratings in the last couple evaluation periods, but Greer Martini is a perfect example. From a small prep school in Va, with little competition, he signed early and flew the rest of the way under everyone's radar. Then he plays in this game against Canada, and it is clear he can fly sideline to sideline. What will he do at ND? Could be that Kelly found another one that has a ceiling way above what he has done. Or maybe most of a class full . . .

My cousin is on that team, a senior for the Canadian HS National Champs!

Jughed, what do you think about this Portland weather we are having? It seems like it's been snowing since Thursday afternoon.

That's because it has been!

It's alright though, I get to skip classes and play video games all day!

Most Intriguing: Mustipher - will he go D
