Big Ten sucks another egg. Nebraska and Mich St were the only winners. Losers: Ohio St., Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, Wisconsin, and new titans Rutgers and Maryland. Northwestern, Purdue, Indiana, and Illinois are too horrible to go to a bowl and Penn State is a den of perversion and iniquity, so isn't allowed to go.
I am kinda torn here. My sister went to Auburn and I have almost always disliked the Noles, even with Bobby at the helm.
And so I would love for Auburn to win just because she lives in Tuscaloosa. I think it would be classic.
However, seeing people on FB and other social media "cheering" for Auburn just because they are "SEC fans" is just stupid.
I will say this, though. Mike Golic said on the Mike and Mike Show that rooting for one's conference is not bad form by fans, but I am guessing that is more in line with his time in the NFL, not at ND.

Really? I thought I heard opposite. I thought he said it's stupid and that 'when the Cowboys miss the playoffs, they don't go home and root for the Eagles'.
Agreed. I know that I acted like that during a few ND games, at home or in my room. Still do, at times, actually.
Thank goodness there is no video evidence of it, though.
I think he was kinda torn, actually, because he did say that when they lost in 1992 or 93 to the Cowboys, that saying that they lost in the playoffs to the SB winner kinda mitigated how much the loss stung...but not much.
And honestly, I can get that. Still, though, I have not been inclined to root for an NFC just because they beat the Niners, so I guess, to each their own.
At the college level, though, when fans say that THEY won the National Title just because some team from their favorite team's conference won, that just reeks of douchebaggery.
