The targeting call HAS TO GO. The enforcement is completely unequal and it is NOT protecting players. At minimum, they need to remove the ejection component.

It seems like such an easy fix too. Call the penalty, review during the week, suspend if it's warranted. This achieves the objectives without being complete horseshit and throwing guys out unnecessarily

Seriously. So simple. Review during the week, if determined to be egregious or with malicious intent then you can suspend for some time or whatever.

There is no reason to throw someone out in the middle of a game on a call that no one understands, can't be enforced equally, and is entirely subjective. That's nonsense.

The call here is egregious even in a ridiculous Targeting Universe. They Navy safety is hitting the guy in the shoulder with his shoulder; yes, he's leaving his feet, because that's how you tackle to jar the ball free; the option is to just let him catch it. No head hit, no crown of helmet, not above the shoulders, no leading with the head, not even taking advantage of the receiver's "vulnerability", if there was any vulnerability. Then the BYU guy head butts the U Wash QB the other night and there is no call at all. LOL>

Don't know if you watched these two games. But I though both North Carolina and Syracuse (to a lessor extent) both looked a lot better than I thought they were. Maybe it was just an anomoly, but if those are two of our "easier" games next season, then we better be ready to fight next season. Could be our most difficult schedule ever.

Or... we predict a super crazy schedule and its totall manageable like always. Who knows.
