That's the Regional Player of the Year.

He very well could end up the Ohio D3 player of the year however.

Central plays a Clyde team tonight that has beaten every team they've played this season. Should be a dandy.

Using some illogical logic, I still think Central stomps them; Central has beaten their D3 opponents 111-27 (through only two games), whereas Clyde struggled with a (usually good) Eastwood team that is D5.

as a Genoa grad in which I know the league is always between Eastwood and Genoa for the championship - Eastwood is by no means good this year. Very down year for the Eagles.

That's kicking some ass right there.

Berry is not a man to be trifled with.

He asked me to set up a home security system at his house; I used M18A1 Claymore Mines. The exploding squirrels distressed him. Now he won't talk to me, classy Comet that he is.

not true...eastwood missed the playoffs last year.

this year made the playoffs and lost to a team that will probably play for a state championship.

2 regular season losses to schools bigger than them, one of which still playing in D3 and the other easily could easily still be playing in D4 were it not for your alma mater's head case of a coach (no offense to you personally)

anyways good luck to deshone tonight, hope he does well, but would be bitter sweet. Clyde has a good program and tough kids.

As an Eastwood grad, I think you're exaggerating a bit.

Is Genoa still holding those candlelight team meetings they were famous for?

It would be different if Eastwood had a close game to a team that will pry be playing for the championship.

It's another if they are just a bump in the road on their way there which they were - they lost 42-16.

The two teams they lost to in the regular season are higher divisions like you said - the one mismatch in that regard would be Clyde at 283.

The other being Genoa with enrollment of 213 to Eastwood's 210. (OHSAA numbers). I don't think "they are in a bigger division than us" really applies here also considering this is a huge league rivalry that plays for the championship each year.

Genoa and Eastwood are the only two teams in their league that come close to battling for the championship - Lake has seemed to come on but it's FBS vs FCS right now compared to Genoa and Eastwood.

Genoa beat Eastwood 41-7 in the regular season. If you look at the overall history of Eastwood compared to this year you will agree with my statement that it is a down year for the eagles. If not, then it was a sad representation.

Central misses an extra point, Clyde scores. Irish down 41-42 with the ball and a 3rd and 7 with 2:01 left. Time for legendary shit to go down.

Defensive holding gave Clyde a 3rd and 2. First down. Game over.

My nephew is on the team and my brother was there. Sounds like Deshone played well overall. In fact, my brother said he could have actually run more than he threw it (a big change from last season when he would run versus going through his progressions). Clyde is a good team, less talented than Central but they earned the victory. Central had two big injuries in their first drive on offense, one to a lineman and the other to a RB. The problem with the RB injury is that he also played corner. His replacement was picked on all night and gave up 3 TDs. Central's defense couldn't stop them...as several have stated above. Deshone leaves Central with only a handful of losses over his career as a three year starter...pretty impressive.

There really is going to be some intense competition going foward at the QB position.

If Hendrix comes back, they'll redshirt Kizer. If not, I guess they'll just see what happens.

Kizer will likely be redshirted regardless of Hendrix's status.

Something in the article about him punting 41.2 yards in average. Thought that was interesting.
