Last night, for just a play, a small bit was actualized. And that peculiar feeling was the universe tipping slightly, almost unperceptibly toward the kinetic . . .

man both teams uni's were bad *** last night

hopefully this is the kick ben needed to start playing with confidence and the staff starts using him more in the passing game

good for him

p.s. it's gotta look good to TE recruiting to see two TE's involved in the passing game and catching big time TD's

This hasn't been brought up in a while and just wondering if he is living up to his potential.

I think that he's a student in good standing, on the team and playing.

Oh, and he's clearly much larger than I am.

It's been hard to get Ben involved as much as they'd like in the passing game. ND was in a bad place when they signed him, and they promised that at least half of his catches would be TDs. They've had to be choosy about throwing to him, but at least they are keeping their word.

I will tell you I really liked seeing the 2 TE sets yesterday and Rees under center. Maybe we will see some more of that.

BTW...now that he has some confidence, he is a stud. Better receiving option than Niklas in all honesty/

Really nice to see him shake the demons and play football like we all hoped he would. He has looked really tough since Dallas.

Glad to see Ben playing good. You would think with the Wr's and the Te's we have this offense would be rather good but it isn't.

Is it me or has Ben greatly improved his blocking since the Oklahoma game? Made a nice play on Folston's 2 yard run.

He has. .but he is still a Work in progress. .he completely whiffed on a block in the game on a folstonwhere he got tackled for a loss. .it killed the drive. ..But yes he is light years from last year and earlier in year

His 'missed block' percentage has dropped drastically in the past few games. I thought overall he blocked very well against BYU. Between that and his emergence in the catching game, we will be loaded at more than WR and RB next year as far as offensive weapons.

If he keeps improving at the pace he currently is...I could def see him getting drafted in the mid rounds in 2015.

We could have two TE's drafted in that year.

He has improved but still whiff s WAY too often. Folston bailed him out big time in the byu game. Strictly a split out TE. A John Carlson with better everything.

Troy Niklas whiffs also, not as often as Ben though. It happens to the best. Still I think he has become a very good blocker. At this point in time he is a better blocker than Eifert last year and John Carlson anytime in his career.

I agree with everything but the Eifert part. Eifert blocked like a left tackle and is the best TE on planet earth.
