Saw him some on TV on Friday night. Tall kid but when he adds weight he is going to be even scarier. Good runner but he does need to improve as a thrower and that will come over time. Plays against great competition and his school is a great program. His teammate an OL just decommited from Bama and flipped to SC (don't even want to try spelling) I love it when we get kids from out here and this kid will be a good one

Viane Talamaivo.

They're not teammates.

Corona, California has two great high school football teams; Santiago and Centennial.

Mike Denbrock knocks it out of the park.

This gives us a strong stable of QB's going forward. Future is bright.

Only thing this offense is lacking is a game-breaking WR moving forward. I think securing Barnett early is likely to help with that problem. That in addition to a solid performance by EG next year would do WONDERS for that problem actually.

He's got a couple of exceptional WRs on his team as well. One of them looks big, fast and makes tremendous adjustments to the football while it's in the air.

Justin Brent, Mackenzie in 14. 13 is stack with super awesome receivers who are very impactful as true freshmen. We are plenty fine in that department.

Of all the position groups on the team, WR is probably the least of my concerns. A ton of young talent there.

Fuller, Robinson, Brent, Holmes, Onwualu, (McKenzie)... then throw in the TE corp talent. No worries here.

Skill positions are pretty nicely stocked at the minute. Next year there's going to be a lot of transition in the trenches.
We lose 3 Elite Six-Star recruits: Martin, Nix & Calabrese.

Carlo is not a 6 star. I like him, but he is plenty replaceable. Nix on the other hand is a different animal.

Wow! He looks significantly faster in this video, than in the vid Cackalacky linked in post #448. And he wears a half sleaze! I fucking love half sleeves.

How good of a league is he in? Because if those are legit athletes he is running by....good God.

Well, he's playing Mission Viejo so he must be playing some pretty damn good competition. Mission is Redfield's old school.

As much as I'll miss Martin, having Elmer slide into LT makes me VERY excited. Nix will be difficult to replace but Jarron Jones eased my worried mind a tad, and it's looking like a certain 6'5 350 pound DT is close to committing to ND.

I have seen nothing that would tell me the last part of your statement is true. At this point your just speculating that Frazier's commitment would help our chances. Nobody thinks we lead and Elam just told you on twitter that other commmitments don't matter. So, I'd operate under the assumption that there's more work to do.

Jimmy was an amazing high school passer and in the Weiss system, a pro-style pocket passer was the prototype we looked for. Say what you will about Jimmy, he fit the Weiss system to a tee.

Barnett certainly has the look of a prototypical Kelly qb. He is Golson but taller and perhaps a more natural fit in a spread offense. Remember I said I was a bit more impressed by Clausen as a recruit...but Barnett is so young and could develop into an amazing qb. He is #1 on my list for '15 and locking him up early should pull other big-time recruits our way.

btw Did you see one of the tweets posted earlier where he lit a candle for a buddy while he was visiting this weekend, that makes me confident that he is all in.

I wonder what our retention rate is for recruits who do this? I bet it's pretty damn high. Big kudos to Denbrock, and to Chief Kelly for closing the deal. Does my heart good to read this thread; "good work and thanks" to you recruit-niks.

damn but i really wanted us to go after that American Heritage QB

Of all the 2015 dual quarterbacks, Torrance Gibson probably has the best offer list to date( Florida, Miami, FSU, Clemson, LSU, Ohio State, Alabama). With Treon Harris' commitment to Florida State, Gibson will take his spread offense skills elsewhere. My guess is that Meyer and Tom Herman of Ohio State lead here. Interesting that the 2015 quarterbacks are making such early commitments. Quarterbacks seem to fall like dominoes, after one or two of the key prospects commit to a school.

Don't forget about our boy, T.Hunter! And Daniels has two more years of eligibility. But you're right, WR, along with OL and TE are quite loaded in the foreseeable future. I guess you could say qb is now too.

Well, I still think Giles is probably a good QB coach.

He is a good qb coach, but Clarkson is the best. Id put him above Whitfield to be completely honest. Those two guys are the cream of the crop so having our QBs work with them is nothing but good.

I agree with Buster here. Fuller is going to be similar to TJ and then you have Robinson that can catch anything over 7 feet not to mention that from what i understand that Onwualu might be the best of them all.

I don't know anything but what I read and watch in games, but I will be quite surprised if Robinson isn't a very very productive receiver for us. He's athletic, with hard-to-teach instincts around the ball (which I base on things I've seen him do this season, like drawing the PI vs Mich St.). That was a junior or senior play. He is just an athletic, smart kid, with a real sense.

I agree i think he has a lot of potential. He is going to be able go up and get any ball he wants as well as being strong enough to fight for the ball.

But for some to think WR is going to be a problem i would have to disagree.
