[NCAFF] vBook: Florida State at Pitt

I made a good chunk this weekend playing the (insert team) wins bet. Heavy favorites only pay a few cents a dollar, but when you put a few billion on it, it's a nice piece of change.

Winston looks to be the real deal for FLA ST. I was curious to see the freshman in his first game, but he looks much better than the typical freshman.

That's because he's a sophomore.

On another note, Tom Savage isn't very good. Winston on the other hand...My god.

Winston may be the best QB in the country right now. He is shredding the Pitt defense. He has tremendous pocket awareness. Pitt has no chance against him.

The great Hoover high school (MTV Two-A-Days) wanted Jameis to play tailback instead of QB when he was coming up through their system. He ended up going to Hueytown instead. What was Hoover thinking?

Winston visited Stanford (odd ball visit, rest were Southern schools). That's a very scary "what if."

Tommy, what's the story behind this??

Bama wanted Winston as he was a huge Bama fan and Jamies wanted to go there to play. He met with Saban and told him that he wanted to play both football and baseball. Word is Saban told him no and then tried to convince him to give up baseball and tried to squeeze him by contacting Gunner. It was well known that Winston hated Gunner because he felt he was better but Gunner was getting all the national publicity. Once Bama warmed to Gunner, Winston met with FSU and Jimbo told him he could play both sports.

Many think that these two things... Saban saying no to baseball and then the "squeeze" using Gunner was what pushed Winston to FSU. It appears Saban may have made a mistake... lol.

Northwestern isn't a slouch either. Although their in contention with Rice to be dropped from the schedule.

Completely forgot about them. So that's 8 tough/ loseable games. Great.

I'm not against dropping Michigan now after this coming week.
