Can you use ND in the demo? And if anyone has are their helmets fixed this year?

Nope. It's one of three choices:

Bama v. VT
Ohio State v. Michigan
aTm v. Oregon

And as far as the helmets go, I read that they were not fixed at E3, but they said they would be fixed by the time retails hits final [rolls eyes].

Anyway, check out the video that shows all the unis guys... they have all the helmets, the new ones, the old ones the SS ones... everything... I don't thikn it's an issue.

What system??

PS3 is easy, go to PS Store and search for it in the search box.. then download it.. it takes about 30 minutes give or take...

XBOX you have to have a live account to download new demos, non live users won't be able to download it for a week or two, at least...

Don't currently have a system, but heard a new PS and Xbox are coming soon. When do those hit shelves? Christmas I'm guessing to create a mob scene worse than the year cabbage patch dolls came out?

I think it plays different, the AI defenders are MUCH better and the AI QB's can

A.) Pick apart a defense
B.) Run a real option

Also, mess with the camera angels... loving the new options.

Quick opinions: Tuitt, Shembo, and Jackson are underrated while Fox and the RBs are overrated. Add in that Golson is gone, our team doesn't have too much top end talent in the game.

My understanding is they had a button for sprint last year and now it's really just an accelerator... meaning it'll get your player to max speed quicker... I don't know how much of a game changer it will be when everyone will just mash it as usual anyway... just my two cents.

Am I the only one that was unimpressed by the demo? Game seems to look worse than previous years somehow and I got 3 physics glitches in the first half of the only game I played. Looks like it'll be a no-buy from me this year.

Yea I know what you mean. That problem though is due to recruit player ratings and player progression which leads to every major team having 3 or 4 95+ overall rated players at every position. I doubt they will fix that.

Personally i don't see much change this year. I guess we will have to wait till next year with the next gen consoles to see a complete overhaul of the game and some real improvements.

As far as visual complaints go the main thing was that the grass looked neon. Sounds like a small complaint but that's going to be 80% of my screen for the vast majority of the game. As to the demo being glitchy every year that's true, but usually it has to do with simple sliders. Like the pass defense being a joke that I know can and will be easily fixed. If something as complex and underlying as the infinity engine is still acting up this late in the process that doesn't inspire a lot of confidence.

I know this, freezing, glitches and bad gameplay aspects that are not in the final version of the game have been very standard for EA demos unfortunately...

My PS3 is currently in Minnesota getting fixed (YLOD) so I haven't been able to play the demo. What I understand about the sprint button is that it is contingent on the player's acceleration rating and stamina rating. You can't just mash the spring button every play, as the player will tire very quickly.

I forgot all about that. I only played one game so only got to see no-huddle defense for one short possession. It was pretty terrible. I was confused as to when the game was allowing you to make the play change? It's not when the defense is set up from my experience, but it looks like it's when the offense is. If that's the case then what's to stop someone from spamming the same play as soon as you don't have the correct defense called for the situation?

Some small things need to be adjusted but I am really liking the new additions to the running game. Im an option freak and the last couple of years it has been so hard to run but this year it seems like they have corrected these errors. Also love the ability to do smaller, quicker cuts w/ the left stick and the re-entrance of the back juke.

It was crazy last year how dominate the option read was out of the shotgun when compared to how impossible any other form of option was to run...

I am hoping the wishbone and such works much better...

from the videos i have seen the CPU can sure run the wishbone now... which is great b/c Navy and GT were complete jokes in years past.

So true. I always kept Navy on the schedule in my dynasty, but hated it because they did nothing on offense. They'd end up with like 40 rushed for 50 yards.

It was funny with me because it got to the point where I would skip that game every year... and they'd beat me half the time... and this was after ND became stronger than what Bama is now, and Navy completely fell apart...

I like that you don't have to totally re-do recruiting every week points wise... it sucks when you want to play but have to go through every player over again each week…I like the list cut downs and the deal breakers stuff… I think I’m going to really like recruiting more so this year… and that’s a mode I like anyway. I like the RPG coaching upgrades and such... I really like that the cpu coaches will have the same stuff and it will impact games, bringing a new importance to coaching carousel.

I like the neutral site games… and having all of ND’s unis from the start… I’m looking forward to the Infinity engine in dynasty games and what seems like a more stiff challenge from the cpu..


And I’m a dynasty guy to begin with so yeah…

I don't want to sound like a hater because I know I've been sounding negative but... played my second game of the demo today- froze at halftime. Smh.

I wouldn't worry about freezes and such with the demo... demos freeze on me all the time... some games from discs do, some games from discs dont.
