No PM necessary- I'll do it here. This sort of closed-minded mentality that how a person wears a particular article of clothing somehow speaks to his intelligence and character is disgusting. How narrow-minded and pretentious can you possibly be to suggest that Manti is not representing himself well because he's wearing a backwards hat? This is a football game, not a boardroom. You want to judge someone? Judge yourself.

Have you ever considered that how a person wears his clothing is a deliberate choice as to how he wants the world to perceive him? Would you wear a tank top and cargo shorts to a job interview? I'm not being narrow minded and pretentious; I just expect better out of Notre Dame graduates. And I do judge myself; very harshly, every day. I expect better from myself all the time. I extend those judgments to people that I respect and admire.

And did I hear he doesn't have the sort of speed that Golson has but he's a more "silky" runner? Shouldn't it be the other way around?

Eh I think he was just basically saying Zaire is a more polished runner because he played in a triple option offense in HS while Golson was in a spread passing offense.

Fair enough, I though he was saying that Golson was faster than Malik but Malik was a shiftier runner. What you're saying would make more sense though.

I really hope the offense can put up more points this year, i cant handle relying on the defense to make so many stops again

If Josh ever sees real game action this fall, how many penalties will we see for throat slicing? I guess one assumption is he makes a play and doesn't get flagged while the ball is in the air. Can someone enlighten me on the whole throat slicing move? I am 40 and apparently culturally inept.

Golson strikes me as a guy who has the "Steaming Willie Beamon" indifference toward practice and scrimmages, but when the lights go on in September he's ready to ball. I wouldn't worry too much about it, he'll be fine. More worried about a lack of targets.

You do realize that steaming Willie Beamon is a fictional character from a movie not an actual football player that ever won a game. Huge difference. I'm not bridge jumping but if you ask Peyton manning how he treats practices and scrimmages he wouldn't agree with what u said on any level. Practice makes perfect.
