This is such a BIG get - pun only 1/2 intended. Love to break into Good Counsel as well as the shift in recruiting momentum: this, Starks seems very high, plus a possible Nelson pop coming soon. Oh. And this kid just happens to be a helluva talent! Congrats, Sam!

He's being recruited as an OG for our system. He's also a beast. Education was the biggest draw.

I love that he's not afraid of competition. Exactly the kind of attitude that will bring ND a championship in the near future.

When be mentioned those names be says he wants to bring in the #1 oline class in the country, like they did in 2012.

Great addition to offense and team, and continues rightful focus on linemen on both sides of the ball.

Probably not his best highlight. Doesn't the OL usually lose in those drills though?

Yes. Oline is at a distinct disadvantage because in real football situations you have at least 4 other lineman to help if needed.

And the defensive lineman actually has some responsibilities, and doesn't know where to go.

If it wasn't a punk move posting this highlight. Making a loop of it, to make it look pervasive was.

So someone who can and cares, message back this guy, and tell him I said he was a punk!

I think that's how vine works. Short videos running on a loop. It's like a video snapchat.

As Buster said vine posts sub 5 sec clips that when u don't exit, play on a loop

And how is it a punk move to post a highlight? If that was Vanderdoes blowing by a random OL would it be a punk move?

It's kind of like when ALLGATOR posted that video of Michael Deeb getting owned by that runningback who was going to Florida.

It wouldn't be a punk to post a video of EV blowing by an o-lineman because EV is going to Notre Dame.

So yes, it is kinda a punk move

Not sure we have to get all fired about about this. The realization is we can't expect these kids to win every rep at every camp. There's good and bad and it should be evaluated. Nothing wrong with it, IMO. I imagine the staff has seen a lot of game tape where he has gotten beat and they still offered him and accepted a commitment.

To post a "lowlight" instead of all highlights? Are we supposed to just pretend all of our commits are perfect and never get beat and the world is all daisies and unicorns?

Not at all. But if an Alabama fan came on here and posted that Vine video of Mustipher getting beat, everyone on here(including me) would be calling that a douchebag move

okay but Im not an Alabama fan, and I for one wouldn't call someone a douche or punk for that

and it's nothing like what ALLGATOR did, he posted it in the middle of a celebration of Deeb committing.

It is not a punk move on your part, ST. Louie. You are fine for posting it; Buster would be fine for posting it, etc.

It is a punk move by that guys that you got the whatchamacalit from to post just a one play clip, unless Sam was beaten every time. If it was indicative of the whole body of work, fine. Post more than one play to show me.

I grant you that I am techically old and a bit brittle, but let me ask you. When you have a media device like Vineo that repeats the same thing over and over, don't you worry about it distorting your perspective?

Aren't you scared that this up to the minute technology isn't removing your perspective further from reality, than bringing it closer to it?

The only Vanderdoes vid that I would ascribe to shows about seven or eight plays against multiple opponents. In that he beat everybody like a rug. That I am okay with.

The only way I could be okay with a one play doodah like this, if the winner was a really low rated player and he went against a really good player, and was using this to get some positive press. If I were the highly rated player, in that case I would probably even help him distribute it! But that is the only one play case of which I can think.

I gotcha bogs, that makes sense. The initial vineo clip should have showed multiple reps. That I completely agree with

Is it my fukin' imaginings or is there civil discourse breaking out all over this site?

Thanks for the patience, understanding, and civility!

Emotions from certain threads may be spilling over into others, if that's what your getting at. For the record the guy that posted that video is Craig hubert, who does recruiting for ESPN and I have very little respect for the work he does anyways. Never gives any insight that any of us couldn't, yet he gets paid for it.

No, my post said "is civil discourse breaking out", in other words I was trying to be humorous about the fact that I think people are all of a sudden listening better and getting along, and not being so crass.

PS. Thanks for identifying the limp dicked, pencil necked, muther fukr who was responsible for that!

Yes he is a dick and sucks at scouting.
