Alabama and Clemson offered.

This kid is BLOWING UP.

lol when the original article came out (day I made thread) and it was posted on BGI a guy said maybe we'd take him as a preferred walk-on. Posters on there are brutal.

I mean he's technically right - we definitely would take him as a preferred walk-on.

I think what STLDomer meant was it is amazing how many douches have popped up since Kelly and the boys have met with a little success. (None of these exhaulted opiners have contributed anything.)

I got what he meant, and was making light of it.

I got that you got it and was making light of it. Further I added a sideways jab at all the douches that are showing up out of nowhere, thinking that they just blend in.

Back to Mr. Holly, I would be proud to call him Irish. This man has at least one thing on his mind. If I could do artsy fartsy stuff like WildMan, I would put one of those old-fashioned cartoon balloons above him all the time, with the word "DESTROY!" in it!

Notre Dame football recruiting: Holley has a quick rise in attention - southbendtribune.com

"Definitely academics first. ... That's definitely the big thing," Holley said. "Then just a place that the coaches are going to develop me, help me be the best that I'm capable of being. Not only loving me as a player, but loving me as a son to them and love me as a person. And definitely a place where I see myself fitting in. I don't want to go anywhere just because they have a good football program. That doesn't mean it's the right environment for me."

Sounds like ND and ecspecially Coach Diaco would be a great fit

It's kinda weird that Jay Hayes and Thomas Holley could be two Irish DL from high schools that are 6 miles away from each other. The Irish recruit nationally, and for that to be the case would be crazy.

Now a :s::s::s::s: 95 Rating #1 NY #10 DT #71 Overall on 247

That puts him ahead of Hayes.

This is one of the biggest blow ups I have seen in a while.

Or this year David Sharpe from unranked to #8 overall prospect in the country.

Do these guys really fly that far under the radar, or does the entire ranking staff at 24/7 just get huge hard ons for some recruits film? It just seems weird since summer camps aren't going on and we're 6 months away from the high school season starting.

Seems like 24/7 updates their rankings too often. Like Rack Em said there aren't camps going on right now. Football season has been over for a few months. Seems weird that recruits can move up or down when they're not playing.

This may be the time of the year where they really go over and analyze film... Right after Signing Day (so they dont worry about the 2013 recruits anymore) and before the summer camps. I assume they use this time to go over kids that were flying under the radar a little bit.

This kid is the perfect example of why I feel we will be really successful this year with our class. According to most recruiting services there are no early clear cut #1 guys, so Kelly and Diaco's ability to see the talent in kids early will give us a leg up on developing relationships with the right kids.

This is a really outstanding post. This is one of those great between the lines kind of things most people didn't see about Kelly, but explain why the program is on the trajectory it is.

I'm thinking this will come down to ND, USC, Alabama with Clemson and BC as dark horses.
