His tape is very "meh". A lot of 5 yard passes, stuff that doesn't prove anything

I don't understand at all how we go down by four. Brey calls a timeout, and we come out of the half with Grant and Sherman playing catch at half court? Then Tom Knight takes a shot that is about a million feet out of his range. Then with the cherry on top, we play great defense and give up a 3 before halftime.

Sherman never fails to amaze me with his physical disabilities on offense.

Dear Pot,

Come on, man. This board is made up of mostly people that complain about sports that are much less knowledgable than the coaches, or much less skilled than the players.

That's probably why we spend time here complaining and analyzing instead of playing.

Love,

Kettle

I'm never going to make fun of someone's shot or criticize it. For two reasons, he could out shoot me and I have a weird shot myself.

I just say on YouTube that this is the winningest senior class in Notre Dame history.

Impossible. Brey hasn't done anything with these players. All they ever do is compete for the top 4 of the Big East and don't make it to the Elite 8 every year like they should!

ISU shoots a hell of a lot of 3s. They could easily shoot ND off the court or get blown out. That game is the definition of a toss-up. Hoiberg is a great coach though. Ohio State is interesting because they are an unconventional team. I give them a big advantage with Matta at HC and being so experienced. I'd be shocked if OSU didn't make the Elite 8 at least.

We can not afford to go with 6 points in the first 7-8 mins if so we will get smoked.

Pitt and Marquette games already proved otherwise.

But, obviously it's never advantageous to fall behind early.

They weren't teams that would live and die by the 3's. Iowa state is going to do that. I don't know what they have inside the might be an advantage for us though.

I rather fall behind to a three point shooting team, because they're more streaky.

Falling behind to a well balanced offense is easily more scary imo. If a team has multiple ways of scoring, then it's difficult to shutdown every one of those ways.

Three point teams are the type of teams that get a big lead, only to blow it away and still get beat soundly. Ie: Notre Dame's offense in the years past.

We're 1.5 pt favs. Vegas is expecting a game in the low 70s. I honestly feel more confident about us against Ohio St than against Iowa St. Felt the same way last year with Duke and Xavier.

Some of you guys probably saw, but Pres. Obama criticized the uniforms during his "Barack-etology". Coach Brey sent this in response:

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p>I see @<a href="https://twitter.com/barackobama">barackobama</a> weighed in on uniforms. Sending him one for his next pickup game. Guarantee he'll dribble better right-handed. Go Irish!</p>— Mike Brey (@NDMikeBrey) <a href="https://twitter.com/NDMikeBrey/status/314405316425052163">March 20, 2013</a></blockquote>
<script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

And it looks like he followed through:

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p>Pres. @<a href="https://twitter.com/barackobama">barackobama</a>: @<a href="https://twitter.com/ndmikebrey">ndmikebrey</a> wanted you to see the @<a href="https://twitter.com/adidashoops">adidashoops</a> jersey in person. This is on its way <a href="http://t.co/e0qOy7SBXX" title="http://ow.ly/i/1Jkbx">ow.ly/i/1Jkbx</a></p>— Notre Dame MBB (@NDmbb) <a href="https://twitter.com/NDmbb/status/314764808933220352">March 21, 2013</a></blockquote>

Do you have any idea where... Brad Stevens, Shaka Smart, or Buzz Williams played college basketball at??? You don't need to play at a high level to have an educated opinion on the game.

What a ridiculous remark.

How is it a ridiculous remark? Does high level basketball only apply to Division 1 basketball and the NBA? I sure as hell never said that. To me, high level basketball ranges from Division III basketball, to the NBA, and all the way the pro leagues that are over seas.

Shaka Smart and Brad Stevens both played college basketball, so yes they did play high level basketball. Buzz Williams on the other hand, he just spent a lot of years being an assistant.

Notre Dame found a way to make those uniforms even worse. I didn't think it could be done...
