Watching Eifert go in the first round may change is direction...

Carlson, early second round
Fasano, late second round
Rudolph, early second round
Eifert, projected first round

If I'm a stud tight end, I at least take this into some consideration...

Not saying he won't be Irish but I think we need to temper the excitment on Blazevich, most think he will stay South.

Yeah Wiltfong said Clemson looks to be in the best shape right now. We are going to have to wow him.

i really like this year's class of TE's...seem to be a number of good options out there for us to snag that have legit early interest in us even if we're going after two

We need to take 1 QB every year.

Wiltfong stated that ND may pass on a QB this year if they don't get their guy.

QB is a log jam of talent so in most cases if they don't get Dawkins then they will pass.

Wilt was quoted on this on ESPN

The writing is on the wall that if we don't get Dawkins (very interested in USC but probably there Plan B) we may not take a QB this year. We only have 1 offer out for 2014 (Dawkins) and 2 already out for 2015.

“One of the things I really appreciated was that he printed out a sheet that had the average total receptions, yards and touchdowns of Georgia and the other five schools I am looking at. He had each school and Georgia’s comparison. It was each school’s stats over the last five years and then the averages. So that was really good to see since it puts the numbers on paper and it was really easy to see what is going on.

“Georgia is second overall by a hair to Clemson, but they are above in touchdowns.”

Does the bottom quote mean Georgia 2nd, Clemson 1st or Georgia 2nd, Clemson 3rd?

There's an obvious counter next time we talk to him:
3,107 (Notre Dame 5-year total for TE receiving yardage)
2,719 (UGA 5-year total for TE receiving yardage)

Does the bottom quote mean Georgia 2nd, Clemson 1st or Georgia 2nd, Clemson 3rd?

I read it to mean "Georgia is second [in] overall [passing yardage] by a hair to Clemson, but they are above [Clemson] in touchdowns.”

Told 247 Notre Dame is unique and can see himself at ND (also said can see himself at all of his top schools) , it's just up to him if he wants on board.

Kid has a ton of offers, but is that 5.01 forty yard dash legit? If so, that's pretty slow but his offer list is nice.

Interesting nugget:

Kelly told him a decision this summer would be ideal because his spot might be gone after that and if he waits to long another kid will commit.

Wonder if this convo reflects a confidence from Kelly w/ their position for Luatua

Well, we are in his top 2 along with Bama, but Luatua has said that he would be making his decision after he takes all of his official visits. Must be some other tight End, Weishar perhaps?

No I don't think so. They have offers out to 5 TEs and can only take one, MAYBE two. If you want on board you have to do it sooner rather than later.

Urban Meyer is God.
God controls the weather.
Weather prevented Jeb from visiting.

It checks out, Urban Meyer didn't want Jeb.

e sees potential in the Buckeyes, so the ESPN Watch List junior is trying to reschedule the visit.

“They have a great tradition and I just can’t say enough good things about that coaching staff up there,” he said. “They have always shown me the most love in recruiting me and wanting me to come up there. Coach Meyer has been up front and honest.”
