I just don't get the walkers in the yard. Bring them to the fence and off them one at a time, or 10 at a time with knifes through the fence holes. Hell Michonne could probably take them all out herself.

I have thought about why they don't do that and I think it's because then they would have to burn all the bodies, which requires a lot of work

Both of the gates were destroyed when the van broke through. They have to find a way to fix the gates or or block up the holes or there's no point in clearing the yard.

The truck the bad guys left in the yard works. They need to get to it, start it up and use it to block the gates. Then they can use swords or whatever through the fence to get the zombies in the yard. Whoever drives the truck can just sit in it until the zombies are all gone.

Did the person from Woodberry driving the truck leave the keys in it before he ran out of it??

Phork's point still applies to their situation before the gate was destroyed. There were zombies lined up along the fence that could have easily been killed

Come on dude, if these guys driving all these cars around haven't figured out how to hotwire a car from inside by this point, then they shouldn't be driving anything.

And maybe. When he walked out he had big gloves over his hands and was shooting.

But the quote was something like "We don't have enough ammo to clear the yard", yet you can do it manually, take a day and clean out the yard, then clean out the area around the prison. It was, at one point, pretty clear. Then fix the fence.

Or take one of the working vehicles make a lot of noise and slowly drive out of the yard with it. The walkers will follow.

I have enjoyed this season more than the last... seems like more has happend and more is building up, last season was SO SLOW at times...

Anyway, one thing that I didn't like was Ty and his group going to Gov. and Co. I really hope he figures it all out quick and turns the tables on the gov.

One thing I liked about the first season was the threat/focus was the zombies, and that drove the story... really the zombies have been a little side story since the CDC was blown up at the end of season 1.

***MINOR SPOILER ALERT***

Anyone watch the episode last night?

Very cool episode IMHO. I liked the focus on just the three characters. The return of Morgan was long awaited and did not disappoint.

Do you think Carl wanted to get the picture for Judith just to show her their mom or is Carl starting think about his own chances of survival?

I felt really bad for the backpacker guy. That whole part of the episode gave me a very uncomfortable feeling, but it is one of the tough choices you would be faced with. Who to save and who to walk away from.

Best episode of the season so far.
I feel bad for Carl his dad has gone nuts and his mom was a bitch. Carl character is developing quickly.
Morgan's scene was great, I am pissed AMC ruined it in the beginning with the flash back to the walky, I knew right away he was the shooter on the roof top.
I just want to see Andrea naked, but if someone put a bullet in her head I wouldn't care, shes starting to **** me off.

Agreed

meaning prove that he could survive? I would say both.

I had the same feeling. The thing I wonder about is where you draw the line for accepting or not accepting someone into the group. Some people would hinder the progress of the group while others would help the progress. Sure it is another mouth to feed but if your a bad a$$ zombie slaying ninja I may take you into my group. How do you decide if you just pass the guy on the road?

I doubt that's the last time we see Morgan. Hope he shows up at the prison to help turn the tide against the Governor.

I took it more that Carl wanted to get the picture because he is starting to develop a fatalistic view of life and he is starting to doubt how much longer he will be alive.

As for the second point, it is a huge topic for debate, but one that needs to be examined very critically in a survival situation. Even a short term situation. Who can help and who can hurt? Maybe the backpack guy was a scout and his buddies were close behind. He stops cars and his buddies come out of the woods and take your stuff. On the other hand, maybe the guy could be a water systems engineer and he could build you a bad *** irrigation system for those crops you want to eventually plant. Tough call under any circumstances.

At least they went back to grab his pack. I thought that was a cool (and somewhat dark) touch. I wish they would check more of the cars though. Maybe it is just implied since they always seem to have gas.

I thought the same thing. They did ruin the surprise by showing that scene in the beginning.

I still feel like every long conversation in this season has been the characters taking turns being totally ****ing ignorant and stubborn. It seems like two people can't be rational at the same time.

Just watched it today. It might be my favorite episode so far. I totally agree on the Morgan surprise being ruined. I hope he does join the group. There are 4 episodes left folks and you gotta think the war we are all waiting for is being saved for the finale

If they care at all about riding shotgun with the comics at all they'll have to slow down or else they'll be jumping the comics by the end of next season.

Which leads to a lot of filler episodes like this. Morgan was supposed to return last season but he was too busy to get him in. At any rate if you don't do your business in this world it will literally come back to bite you.

Carl is one of those characters you either love or hate. Personally I hate'em because he is always pulling them "I can do anything" card and usually ends up regretting it. Cue the bar full of walkers have a happy hour siesta.

I would hate to have to make that choice about who to keep and who to kick to the curb. Back Packer guy would have got shot by Morgan had he continued on anyways. Leaving the weaponry they left behind as well is a strong hint that Morgan is going to show up with a truck of load of fun in the future.

I was really perplexed why they didn't take more stuff. Only two duffel bags worth or goodies. Personally, I thought the "Crate-O-Grenades" would have been a nice addition to the arsenal. Not only for the soon to come governor's assault, but also to protect from another "herd" attack like at the end of last season.

That was the best episode I've seen in a long time. I think we will see Morgan again.

Agreed. It was one of the few episodes that I rewound and watched different parts again. Some in slo-mo, others I paused and just tried to see what was in the background. I tried to read some of the stuff Morgan had written and then I tried to really see the gadgets and traps he had built.

Really good mix of story, visual imagery and great acting. Lennie James is freaking scary good!!! Powerful presence on the screen in everything he does.

Yeah I watched it twice too. I also watched Talking Dead, which I never do. Morgan had multiple escape routes which were color coordinated. That episode will be really hard to beat this season.

Stuff you would have never known as well, like his series of escape zip lines above the city ground level and all the different colored arrows that led to different spots.

I hope so.

Funny how I was just asking about him last week.

Can't wait to see how Rick and Michonne's relationship develops. Looks like there could be some romance or partnership developing?

Yea that's going to be interesteing. A couple of the eye contacts seemed to have a little "sexual" overtones to them. I haven't read the comics but I believe Michonne is a believer in "share the love" existence but I don't know if her and Rick get involved.

Certainly the best episode of, at least, this half season. Hope to see more of Morgan. I am also confused why they didn't take more weapons and ammo from Morgan. Seems like Rick could have learned from him and set up a bunch of booby traps for the Governor.

Best episode in a while, by far. When they return to the storyline of trying to survive in a world gone mad, it is far more compelling. I think, even though we didn't see them "take them", more weapons and ammo will be brought back to the prison then we think. It is one of those TV mysteries.

My question is, when they take care of the governor, what will happen next? Besides the obvious zombie threat, who will replace him as the the next hostile character?
