Offer went out today. From storied John Curtis HS. LSU is the favorite (obviously) with Bama and FSU getting high interest. Kid is the truth.

Geez, if LSU gets all these kids this year they are going to have a monster class. Hope this kid gives us a shot.

I mentioned a few weeks back that I was surprised he was the Louisiana WR we'd yet to offer, based on both talent and likelihood he'd wind up at Notre Dame (to avoid starting rumors: he's not mentioned ND as far as I've seen; he's just the closest fit for the profile, outside of Noil who seems to be very close to a lock to LSU). Most talented of a very good WR crop down here this year. He's also probably the most likely of the major Louisiana prospects to leave the region. Lots of rumblings he's looking to leave the area for college.

Plays in a run-first offense. JC is packed with college-level talent, but plays a few tiers below the top-level of Louisiana high school football, so they tend to dominate far inferior athletes. Suburban, non-denominational Christian school. Solid, but not great academics. Obviously LSU has an advantage because of proximity, but JC's probably got the weakest pipeline to Baton Rouge of all of the major New Orleans high school teams. J.T. Curtis (the head coach and headmaster) doesn't steer kids to LSU at all. Alma Mater of Michael Stonebreaker.

eh. let's stay a little closer on topic on this one in the off chance that Dupre or his family stumble across this thread.

Why does it feel like Notre Dame is struggling to nab a top rated WR under Kelly? We are finding serviceable guys, but I want to see us find a way to get a stud like Dupre for a change.

Every coach seems to miss an area... That being said, I'll take missing out on a Michael Floyd when we seem to nail the DL/DB area when compared to past yrs

The biggest problem during the season was settling for field goals instead of scoring TD's. When teams found a way to take away our big TE's we are exposed. We seem to love the smaller possessive guys. I would like to see us get a guy who can flat out score like Dupre. He can jump out of a gym and run past defenses. That being said I agree that DL/DB's are more important and I shouldn't complain. I just see us miss on the big name WR's every year and it leaves me wondering with Kelly's system why do WR's shy away from the Irish?

Per 247 he wants to visit at sometime and as NOLA said he seems open to going out of state (he already visited UCLA and wants to visit other out of states)

Said he is #1 on our board

Looks like Alford is recruiting him

Don't be fooled, I've seen him play a couple of times, Nola Irish nailed it, they run the football a lot, but this kid is the truth. He is clearly a cut above on the number 1 team in the NATION, for their division. A team that has a ton of D1 talent and Malachi is probably their best player.

He had some insane grabs in his highlight reel. This is a dream and prolly won't happen but my receiver wish list. Dupree, artavis Scott, and Andrews. Gives us a stud at each position

With Brent already on board is there space for 3 more WRs? Unless you're including Andrews as a TE I'm not so sure.

Yea, doubt we take 4 receivers, I spaced Brent in my previous post. Not sure how as I have been excited about him from his commitment, I'll blame it on the ****** movie I was watching when I posted
