I seriously doubt superconferences would grow to that size; realignment is being driven in large part by separating the "haves" from the "have nots". There aren't even close to 80-100 "haves" in CFB. You'd be hard-pressed to fill 4 superconferences of 16 with quality programs.

Sure they can! The B1G got a great deal with Rutgers and Maryland!!

Just talked to Jack Swarbrick about this (not lying) he says the only reason teams will move is if they are bankrupt (ie Marylamd). He sees other teams going, unnamed, but not UVA, UNC. Also sees Catholic 7 adding Xavier, Butler. He talked for 30 mins at my dorm and answered all questions. Great guy, brilliant. He also said that joining the Catholic 7 would be good for one thing- Catholicism, bad for everything else.

The field will be grass next year. He hopes to bring the field at Lambeau but it's "insanely expensive". Most of reasons for turf, jumbotron revolved around other uses for the stadium, because he thinks its underused. Also jumbotron will likekly be "sometime in future". Also he is in works to schedule an SEC team, wouldn't say which.

I mean I'm sure if he saw the benefits > costs of bringing on Lambeau turf he would. It must be crazy expensive.

Interesting to know we will be scheduling an SEC team, especially if our 2015 slate holds up with Texas.

National titles aren't the focus here. They never have been. The goal has always been to win the B1G Championship. Ever since Gustave Ferbert won the first one in 1898, that's been to goal. And nobody has done it better than Michigan.

If there are any Big Ten teams that shoot for a national championship, they're damn fools...You play to win the Big Ten championship, and if you win it and go to the Rose Bowl and win it, then you've had a great season. If they choose to vote you number one, then you're the national champion. But a national champion is a mythical national champion, and I think you guys ought to know that. It's mythical.

I mean jokes aside, I fully appreciate Bo and his legacy at UM. I really do. But the landscape isn't the same anymore. We ourselves are coming to appreciate that fact, and have had to deal appropriately. Who knows, I may be eating these words in the coming years.

Nevertheless, The BIG10 championship isn't what it used to be. With a bunch of mediocre teams running around, coaches leaving for the SEC, etc., it's just not the same. And with Urban coming in and bringing his swag, do you think some 5* from Florida wants to freaking hear about a BIG10 championship? Are you kidding me? Urban is down there telling the kid he will be Percy Harvin and will go to a NC game. As bad as it sounds, the pipelines are being set.
