How about James Jackson? He originally verbally committed to Lou Holtz at ND and flipped to Miami at the last minute.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-comfficeffice" /><o></o>
He didn't really flip. He was another one that never passed ND Admissions but unlike Moss, Jackson also failed to pass the NCAA Clearinghouse. He spent the '95 season at Forked Union Military School to meet NCAA scholarship requirements and enrolled at Miami the following year.
I still don't understand why we didn't go back hard at Isaac S. after Anazalone flipped. Or any other top ILB. I understand the "not wanting to follow in Te'o's shadow" thing, but he seems like a guy we could have landed, at a position of increasing need.
2) Because this recruiting class is probably the best in my life time, and adding a 5-star MLB (which is a position of NEED) who has coverage skills would have been surreal.
