Get Rid of Field Goals?

I personally don't like the idea. I feel there is an attempt to change too much of the game right now. Focus on player safety is costing football it's identity. I do want to point out that I am all for a safer game. To take a kicker out of the game takes strategy, excitement, points, and jobs out of the game. I would much rather see a 45 yard field goal for the win then a "Hail Mary" of sorts to the endzone from the 30 yard line.

And when punters are the lowest paid guys on the team, then he will want to get rid of the punt? Then get rid of the forward pass when Defensive Backs become the lowest paid guys?

Skip Bayless is a complete and utter moron. There's probably a case to be made for getting rid of the FG, but this idiot is clueless about it.

No. Especially if Skip suggests it.

Yep. The phrase "Skip Bayless and good," and any variation or synonym of it, should be banished from the English language.

Dude debated the best rappers with Nelly once...on a sports show. Plus, he often doesn't wear socks with his loafers and suit on television. Nuff said.

Football started as a game centered around kicking. Why drastically change a great sport just to change it?

Bayless will say anything to get a rise out of people. What he is suggesting would fundamentally change the strategy of games.

If kickers are gone, all the fantasy teams have holes on their rosters.

My father (who played around the WWII era) has always said if you want to make the game safer don't make the helmets better (harder, thicker, stronger), put the leather helmets back on. Don't really care for much of what Skip has to say but I am impressed that he has found a forum to speak in the world of football considering what a geek he is.

Who's the bigger moron, the guy who plays one on TV or the guy who believes he means most of what he says? It's been widely reported that Skip Bayless is an act, not a moron.

This is is beyond ****ing stupid though. You know what they should eliminate? High socks. And NFL logos on being the helmet, shoulder, and hips. And Atrocious color schemes and modern designs for logos. And stadiums that lack character. And domes in NEW ORLEANS, ATLANTA, PHOENIX, DALLAS, and HOUSTON.

Kicking is a fundamental part of the game. I'd be dissappointed if they actually got rid of it.

Thank you. These guys know exactly what they are getting into when they play in the NFL.

Anyone that claims they don't know the effects of smashing into other grown men running full speed, is a moron.

That's why I can't stand the new rules, or the lawsuits by former players.

Nobody is complaining when they're cashing their checks....

I don't believe that he means most of what he says. I believe that he is a moron for allowing himself to be portrayed as a complete clown. Trust me, Buster: Skip Bayless is a MUCH bigger moron than I am. And I have brain damage from a ruptured aneurysm, so that is really saying something.
