I would think that a coach like BK would run his own Twitter account and give nobody else access to it to avoid the dreaded bad tweet.

If Kelly doesn't run it (which I think he does) it would like be run by someone like Hardin... who just switched jobs. Soooo... putting my money on Kelly.

Some perspective... if Slaughter won his appeal (like he should've) and Anzalone wasn't a sociopath we would be sitting here trying to keep a full class with Folston and in the race for EV... And our class would be ranked #1 everywhere. Some things you just can't control.. Although who knows if Kelly had kept his eye on the ball a little bit more *maybe* he could've kept Alex in the fold.

I'm still hopeful... I'll tell you what, if he doesn't get his 6th year but Devin Gardner does I will flip out. Both of Gardner's injuries = BS. Slaughter legitimately had to serious injuries. I really do hope he wins on appeal. Otherwise scholarship goes to.... Jake Golic? Tyler Stockton? Nick Tausch is already locked in regardless of whether or not we get EV.... unless we add a punter.

That can't happen. He has too much eligibility left so it would be dead weight after the season. Basically has to go to someone who will have expiring eligibility to not be a handicap. Unless they told him to expect to give it back... which would be a pretty jerky move... but I guess better than no scholarship?

I'm sick of adding walk ons or special teams players. We have to keep those scholarships for the rest of their time at ND.

I'm not saying we should greyshirt, oversign or cut players. But dang... If we can't get a quality player to fill a scholly, then I don't think we should give those to anyone that isn't a senior or 5th year senior. We are already fighting an uphill battle with the SEC because of oversigning, lets quit making their job easier by voluntarily giving our valuable scholarship space to guys that wont contribute to the team. If they are only filling a hole for a year, fine. If we have to commit multiple years to a subpar player, then give that to a senior instead and try to fill it with a blue chip in the next class.

We cant have it both ways. If we don't cut players, then we can just give scholarships to players that aren't going to contribute.

Dorian Johnson is still the biggest WTF to me. He's freaking cousins with Coach Booker, wanted in, and now we have open schollies that will go to waste. Are you telling me we can get a 5:s: in the next cycle so we should just pass on one this time? Makes no sense to me.

I agree and think that there has to be more to this story. I don't think anybody knows what it is, but there is something going on. It's not like the staff isn't aware of who he is. He's going to Pitt for crying out loud.

That was probably a good pass. Austin Hooper might've been a good pass too. LJ Moore is a guy strangely still on the board but we're full at DB.
