I can't speak for #19, but I have a feeling a lot of people are going to know who #10 is after next year. Daniels is going to make some defensive backs look like fools.

The one thing we're going to have next year, is a lot of potential playmakers.

More than I can recall in the recent past.

Yeah, Bama has a very effective offensive strategy. But I'd love to see Kelly open up the offense a bit and let Golson really throw the ball around.

I'm in no way implying he should abandon the spread, just use the middle of the field more when passing and smash away between the tackles when working, like we did a few times this season. To get back on topic, Daniels and Onwalu are a heck of a good start in this regard. Big bodies that can make dirty grabs.

That insinuates that the spread is what lost Notre Dame that game. It clearly wasn't.

Kelly and his absolutely terrific staff squeezed every ounce of potential out of a team that didn't have any business being in the national championship before the season. I'm sure that they didn't take strategic notes during the game, the playcalling showed us all that they already knew they couldn't physically match Alabama.

I will put this in a couple threads, I watched and re-watched the noon Kelly interview. I think Kelly tips things off, if you can read him. And I think I can. I believe he feels that one of the best things about this class is the hidden talent. He outright said that Will Fuller was all of that. Here are the ones that Kelly thinks will be monsters before they leave: James Onwaulu, Corey Robinson, and Isaac Rochelle.

I am getting the feeling that he thinks that Rochelle has as high a ceiling as any defensive lineman he ever recruited.

He is blown away by Onwaulu's hidden characteristics, not limited to but including his beastly strength and conditioning. This kid can do things that other elite athletes cannot.

If I gage it, I would bet that BK has actually spent time thinking about whether Corey Robinson will end up better than DGB. This is guy is a Brian Kelly gold mine. He is on a totally different trajectory than DGB and just about any other wide receiver. (Yes, that was a little bit of my personal opinion, but hardly any hyperbole at all!)

Coach Kelly: I think there's are some guys that are mature enough. James Onwualu, physically strong, 215 pounds. He can play with the veterans right now in terms of conditioning and weight training, going every rep.

We'll see when we put the pads on. We're going into a different atmosphere relative to playing the game. But he's been very, very impressive.

The head coach acknowleges that you are ready to run with the big boys. I understand that no one has hit yet. But he can run with them. And he can catch with them. I bet he will hold up just fine and hold his own.

We need him to be better than his praise. We desperately need receiver playmakers.
