'14 FL WR Corey Holmes (Notre Dame Signee)

Shrug...there are other WRs in Florida I would take over him, not to mention the rest of the country.

He seems like a smart football player, but slow speed wise.

There are probably 10 wr's in the state of Florida better than Corey

Class of 2014 wide receiver Corey Holmes (Fort Lauderdale, Fla./St. Thomas Aquinas) came on late in the season for state champion St. Thomas Aquinas, but he took his recruitment to another level late last week. Holmes checked in at 6-foot-1 ¾ and 166-pounds and ripped off impressive times of 4.48 in the forty yard dash, 4.15 in the pro-agility shuttle and a blazing 6.72 in the L-cone. Throw in a 35.5-inch vertical and Holmes and Campbell were easily the two most impressive wide receivers prospects in the testing portion of the combine. Holmes claims verbal offers from Michigan, Notre Dame, Florida, Florida State and Wisconsin among others.

I wouldn't be worried about the weight.When I was his age we were pretty much the same size, by start of senior year I was 6'3 185, first year of college 200. Not saying he will get that big but he has plenty of time to put muscle on.

It was a great visit, he got to see a lot of things he hadn't seen before. It was really big for him to see what it would be like to be a student there. Saw a lot more of the campus and realized just how great the campus is. Sat down with Kelly, Denbrock, and Alford. They said he has become a priority in this class. We are at the top of his list with other schools. I really like this kid as a player. He reminds me of a more athletically gifted TJ Jones. Stronger, faster etc. Very good hands and good routes
