"Bivin at center".... now THAT is more good news to me. One of the five new mountains needed to become a center [I thought that it might be Montelus as a next Pouncey], and Bivin is probably more like Cave than any of them.
I say the latter because the guy concentrates on a "hobby" [shot putting] which gives him an elite ability to unleash an explosive "punch" and demands some "twinkle-toes" balanced footwork. If he wasn't any good at it OK but as he is State Champion, very OK.
Bivin also [this is irrational by me] exudes an attitude of "I'm here so bring it on". Tough looking and I believe tough-in-reality big man --- what you need at center more than anywhere else.
I was really happy that Mark Harrell wanted to try the center position, and now if Hunter wants to also, we are set behind Matt Hegarty --- hoping that Matt's REALLY OK but now, even if he isn't, the play on the field for the next four years or so may be up to Coach Hiestand's standards anyway.
