I am a little torn because the highlights don't get me too excited but a lot of scouts and coaches seem to love this kid. He is going to commit very early in the process too so we might not get too much summer tape to look at. On whether we r recruiting him as a QB I say we r because the staff said that they r when he visited. Don't think they lie to these kids. Doesn't mean we'll go after him aggressively

Doesn't have great arm strength and he's not really that fast. Idk if I'd even want him at DOG.

He is not a good enough athlete for ND to want to sign him to change positions. He also is too good of a QB to go to ND to change positions. If that makes sense. I am pretty positive ND is recruiting this kid as a QB even though I am not impressed. It will be interesting to see what kind of QB ND can get in 2014 with some big time young QB's already on the roster.

While he is a great QB, do you honestly think he would have those same stats against ND's competition?

ND is the number 1 team in the nation, why would you sign a player like Barker to play LB when you can sign a much better athlete that actually plays LB in high school?

I can remember a lot of kids Ara and Lou recruited played different positions than they did in HS. Lou had a philopsophy to ge the best eleven athletes on the field. Good coaches don't pigeon hole kids just because they played a certain position in HS. Good athletes can adjust quickly as noted previously.

NEWS FLASH Football has changed since then. The only position he is playing at ND is QB he is not s great athlete.

College football yes. High school not really, kids play out of position all the time. I agree he is qb or bust.

stoops is getting things going there right now...not elite guys, but they landed a couple of high 3 stars this weekend and i wouldn't be shocked to see alexander end up here

I would say Dawkins, Barker, Cornwall, Allen, O'Connor, and Kizer?

There are actually 5, since it's likely Kiel will transfer in and out of ND at least one more time at his current rate.

On a Kentucky recruiting twitter said that barker is going to make his decision in early May. Also said he was 95% sure who it will be.
