It's not about what you know that makes you the money, it's who you know. But seriously, that is why those 30y ROI are a little more important and telling for ND students. One of my professors received his MBA from ND and was the creator of the entrepreneurship program at ND. I have had several talks with him about getting my MBA from there and he has told me multiple times that ND is so special because of their alumni network. I have gotten a few interviews with firms simply because he sent my resume to a ND alum that was high up in the firm. Which brings me back to my its about who you know argument. ND alums help the current and future graduates get good, high paying jobs better than most other schools in the country. Plus a degree from ND passes the eye test for most people. It is a simple fact that most of the time an applicant with a ND degree is going to get a second look more times than a FSU or IU or Purdue degree will. Fair? I don't know, just the way it is. With that being said, I do not really believe these blue chip recruits, or any of the 3+ star recruits going to a school for the education. Yes, some of them do but most of them could care less about it even if they say that is a factor in their recruiting.
