On its best days, Tigerdroppings is worse than a sewing circle.
That said, I can't be the only one struggling to work up the energy to even care about these rumors. As far as I'm concerned, we've got our starting QB for the next several years and Zaire is everything you'd hope for in a recruit. I'm sure we all hope Kiel sticks it out and becomes a standout for us. But even if you take an absolute worst-case-scenario approach, we have an extra opening in this class or the next. On the back of going to the national championship game. I'll take it. I don't have the audacity to quote a rival, but I think a certain coach from Ann Arbor might've had a relevant line here.

Anyone know how well he's been doing in practices? Over the weekend a friend from the football team was telling us that he has looked amazing and that Gunner will be the starter next year.

Only thing I have read is that he has a strong arm and he is coming along. I find it very hard to believe that Golson will lost his starting job after leading the team to the NC with so much potential left untapped.

Well.. If he ousts Golson after a NC game and an offseason of development, at least we know we'll have a pretty damn good QB.

Gunner will do what he needs to do and maybe in the past he would transfer, but I don't see it happening with ND making it's move to the top of college football. Yes Golson has helped get this team to the National Championship Game, but let's be real the defense is why they are there. Golson has been progressing, but I see Kelly giving Gunner an ample shot at winning the starting job. Even if he doesn't beat out Golson, both QB's will be better for it and will get Gunner ready for when, and not if, Golson misses a game due to injury.

We're a ways away from the bowl game... I wouldnt be surprised to hear he will win the Heisman next year.

Everyone including BK knows that Gunner has all of the tools. However, no one knows if he can make adjustments, change run/pass blocking schemes at the line, and discern cowboy coverages.
Just have to trust BK on this one. Our coach knows qb's.
