Not sure why, but I dislike his tape. For whatever reason, I came off very unimpressed. Runs WAY too high, too much dancing once impacting the hole.....(and at his size, he should have been running over people, not finessing), and constantly ran with the ball in the wrong hand....(poor ball skills).

We have bigger fish out there to fry in my opinion.

All that and he is still a consensus :s::s::s::s:? I'll take my chances and bring him aboard if/when Mattingly decommits and work out the kinks later.

As I said, it was one man's opinion on his tape.

Those were my thoughts......he's gotta learn to switch that rock and you are 100% right he dances too much.....reminds me of Cierre when he was a soph and junior. North and south buddy, you gotta run north and south and plow them guys over!

Wiltfong thinks we are really surging up on his list and I looked on the OU board and it seems they think the OU staff has moved on from him due to the commitment of Keith Ford and a 2014 tailback they received. Could be great news for us!

That was the kid I really wanted about a year ago. Keith is a monster.

That being said, I would take Greg in a heartbeat. Great quickness, great acceleration, great balance, great attitude when running...very much like Keith. Very much like Theo really.

His senior tape is darn pretty impressive. He's fast and just plain big. He'd be a huge pick-up.

Bryant tore up the rivals 5 star challenge over the summer. I think the term used was he dominated the event. I see a lot of Theo in his game. Very quick feet, good ball skills, and a short compact frame.

Man.... I didn't even look at his measurables.......Does his league include the Lollipop Guild??? He towered over the lineman he was playing against.

He looks awful fast. How fast is he?

You all are right if he simplifies and concentrates on moving forward, he will be a beast at the next level. If he doesn't someone is going to make a yard marker out of him.

I'm not saying that he won't be a big pick up!!! Yes the kid is a beast, but he needs to learn to utilize his skill set better. You are a back that big and you are trying to dance that much.....the time comes when you just need to start running people over...ala Jerome Bettis!!! And moving the rock from the inside to the outside to help minimize stripping is a fundamental that is taught in Pop Warner!!! Maybe he just thinks he's the man and doesn't have to do it....I don't know. But watch that tape, again and he doesn't switch it time after time!!! That's not good! Can it be corrected, yes, but at this point in his progression it should have already been addressed!!!

3 former offensive players are starting on one of the best D's on the nation, including a player who has limited football experience. Previously underachieving players have now become studs. Get the kid into the program and he'll be coached up and those problems will be fixed.

Also, Hughes and Gray both thought they were elusive RBs under Weis. This coaching staff finally got these guys to run they way they should have been all along. I have full faith in this staff to take a talented, yet unpolished talent like Bryant and turn him into the star he can be.

His ball skills are ridiculous on those highlights for someone that runs that tough. Wow. Not a great top gear though.

The kid can catch out of the backfield and has great wiggle, why is everyone saying he is strictly a power back that dances too much? He is one of the top 7 backs in the entire country!! You guys are hard to please!

Again I'm not saying that this kid isn't good. All I'm saying is that he thinks that he is strictly a finess runner, but once he realizes that he can be both a finess and a power runner....Watch the F*** Out!!!

A couple of the highlights looked like they were against Miramar (blue helmets red facemask) which I believe won state last yr. down in S FL there really aren't to many Lollipop teams so I would venture to say his competition was pretty solid

Your posts seem substanitive, always. Thanks for the info, as usual! But I probably repped you because you changed the conversation back to Greg from the sexist bent it had taken.
