I suppose the only bonus of him not being an EE is that he can help talk to 2014 players ad nauseam this winter/spring.

it's about that time of year, it seams like the last 5 or so years that between the end of the regular season and National Signing Day that a mystery recruit has on campus in secret.

Is the tradition going to continue?

Not going to lie. My favorite part of college football is December to NSD. So many unexpected and rare things happen(good and bad).

Perfect way to end the recruiting cycle:
Alquadin Muhammad
Max Redfield
Ty Isaac
Keep everyone already on board

...I've been feeling lucky lately

Irish Illustrated saying that ND has had recent contact with Ty Isaac, Sebastian Larue, Chris Hawkins, and Eddie Vanderdoes. Pete also said he thinks Chris Hawkins is most likely out of the current USC commits.

Would love to take them all, but with limited spots, I feel Eddie may be the best to go hard after. We need more bigs on the DL and this kid has offers from everyone. He's the one a few weeks ago I wanted the staff to get back in touch with. Happy to hear they are.

I'd pass on Hawkins and Larue. I like where we currently are with those position groups this cycle. Isaac may be one that the staff makes room for regardless. I'd be ok with that.

I'd LOVE for this class to finish with AQM, Redfield, Vanderdoes, and Isaac.

You like the recruiting better than the actual games? Strange bird is you ;)

Can you imagine how much easier it is for the coaches to go into a home at 12-0 and in the BCS Championship game and sell ND. A guaranteed 4 yr degree, BCS Championship caliber football, national exposure evry week, and a family that will look after you and be there for you in the good times and bad!

This is NOTRE DAME FOOTBALL! Jump on board young men and enjoy the best 4 years of your life!

it's probably tough when other schools are waiving $200k in your face though.

With the way everyone rallied around Manti this year and all of the talk of how close this team is, I think this is a huge selling point!!!

Damn the only thing I can think of is distance, all the players Kelly is visiting are in Ca. But that sure does not look good.

Pure opinion, but I bet the staff not wanting Mattingly anymore has more to do with this than Mattingly wanting to go elsewhere. You don't commit to an academicly superior school, have them go to the National Championship game, then think 'maybe I chose the wrong place to play.
