Cam will be the third or fourth back for us next year. It will be GAIII, Carlisle, Cam, possibly Mahone. Cam is quality but GAIII is the homerun hitter and Carlisle was a starting runningback at USC. Cam will get playing time. Also Mahone will be the big back on the team.

Bryant isn't coming to ND.

GA3 needs to really step up next year.

I like the way Cam runs but I just don't see his body being able to handle a full season.

I don't know how much Carlisle has grown but he looked pretty small too on his clips.

Why? He is about the same size as Riddick.

way i see it:

Theo's void is filled by Amir

GA3 will fill cierre's void

and the remaining three fight for the number three spot.

IDK guys...I'm not really impressed with GA III. He needs to do a lot of work in the off season. He has to get a lot stronger, needs to pickup pass protection, needs to learn how to read blocks, needs to learn how to low his shoulder, needs to not run so damn high and needs to not look so stiff running laterally.

IMO Mahone becomes the feature back next year.

Running backs are the most likely players to sustain a season-ending injury, so you can never have too many. If we can get Greg Bryant's commitment or Ty Isaac's commitment, we've got to make room. We've got to establish a pipeline so the next man in philosophy is sustained with quality running backs that run hard and hit the hole quickly.

Are you listening, Greg?

I don't know about you guys, but I see Cam McDaniel filling some of Theo's shoes! He may not have the speed to TR, but man the kid has moves in abundance......give him a chance and he just may surprise you! And don't forget he is willing to do whatever it takes for the team!

I agree. He could run harder and see holes a lot better.

He also needs to stop trying to turn the corner on every touch.

If Amir Carlisle ever gets back to 100% then he will be utterly dynamic... Theo Riddick with more speed, less quickness, less toughness... but did I mention more speed.

I don't know what his injury status is though.

I'm in the group that would not be suprised to see any of our current RBs pan out, but don't have the confidence in them that I had in Theo or Cierre coming into this year since neither GAII or Amir strike me as pure RBs. I think Amir is more of a slot guy and GAII is a work in progress with an incredibly high ceiling.

I think we need at least one good pure RB this year. Two would be better.

I thought that it was stated that he had healed and was nearing 100%, but with the production from the rb's ahead of him the staff decided to not waste a year of eligibility this year. Instead, he will be well past his injury and be ready to make substantial contributions next year.

I think the concern over Amir is not that he'll reach 100% but that he'll stay there. He's been injured a lot apparently.

I get a james alridge vibe when i think of mahone. We definitely NEED tarean or greg in this class. Title contending teams year in and year out have playmakers at rb. Look at bama yeldon. Look at georgia marshall. Amir is injury proven does anyone think he can make a full season healthy?

Each of those teams has a two-headed monster at RB. Must include Lacey for Bama and Gurley for UGA. Definitely need horses in the backfield and the big guys in front of them doing the dirty work.
