The rapidly progressing QB out of Mater Dei in California has offers from all over the country. Nebraska, UCLA, California, South Carolina, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, USC, Notre Dame, and Clemson to name a few.

He seems to be fairly close to a decision. With USC being right down the road and Matt Barkley likely headed to the NFL a year after Wittek steps on campus. An opportunity to compete for the starting spot against Jesse Scroggins as a redshirt freshman or true sophomore all while playing for a staff he calls "a lot of fun.", will be too much to pass up.

He told the USC Scout guys that the reports were bogus:

“I don’t know where that came from,” Wittek said in a phone interview Wednesday evening.

He went on to say how much he got along with the new QB coach, and how he hit it off with fellow QB commit Cody Kessler.

That's why you can never truly believe things from the Bleacher Report. Yes, sometimes they'll get it right, and sometimes fans are really good writers, but when fans are your source, you're gonna get it wrong much more than you're gonna get it right. Not saying that he won't ever de-commit, but the fact that his teammate and close friend WR Victor Blackwell (he's calls the two a 'dynamic duo') is going to SC makes him iffy to de-commit IMO...
