So yesterday was the famous Relay for Life event at Notre Dame Stadium (**** cancer), great event that has really spread nationwide. For five dollars they let registered participants tour the locker room and touch the sign, so yesterday I was able to fulfill one of my goals I had when I arrived on campus this past fall. Touching the sign was surreal... I know its only been around since 1988 or whenever but it really exemplifies everything that ND is all about, and there really is nothing like smacking that sign. After we touched the sign, some of my friends and I decided to check out some other parts of the stadium... while in the elevator that was supposed to stop on the second floor, we decided to take a trip to the the press box. There were no signs, locked doors, or anything really saying we shouldnt visit the it, and to say I was amazed was an understatement. The view is absolutely incredible-- when we were ready to go we decided to take the stairs back down, only to see that stairs contiuned even high than the elevator could take you. So we went to the roof, right near the speakers on the top of the press box, and took some pictures of the nicest view on campus. Thought I would share some of those pics with IE.

I didn't realize that the ND Stadium now offers stadium tours during home game weeks. My wife and I toured the Press box, Presidents Suite, Locker Room, and got to smack the Play Like A Champion sign. The tour ended with us walking onto the edge of the end zone. The link tells the times of the tours. Tomorrows tours are the last full ones of the season. They started doing this during the BYU week.

We had a great time taking pcs. and vids.

After the tour we went to the Gug and Jim Russ the sports trainer saw us looking around. He asked us if we wanted to see the indoor facilities. He took us in the weight room door and let us have a look from there and also took us in to see the indoor practice field. We both had a great day!!!!

My brothers high school coach does something for the refs that ref the ND games and he said he can get me sideline passes and to tour the locker rooms and such. Unfortunately I couldn't make a game this year but next year I'm hoping to go to either the USC game or Oklahoma game and get those sideline passes lol
