Of the other teams in the top 4 Oregon is the most worrying probably. I think they're a tougher match up for us than Alabama, KSU, or even UGA/Florida/LSU. On the flip side I do think that Oregon could be a bit soft and if they ever got truly popped in the mouth they might back down. They haven't been in a tough, physical game where the outcome was in doubt all year and I'd like to see how they would respond.

So your vagina kinda hurts and kinda doesn't? Maybe it would hurt in the right circumstances.

ARALOU give me the low down on the vagina situation on this one....

LOL, I see your point. Oregon is fast. I think the Irish pound and grind them. Alabama plays a style that matches up with Notre Dame, and they are very very deep. That in my opinion would be the tougher game. We have yet to see what Bama has in a fight though. They crushed all the patsies they have played.

I'm not scared of Oregon. They are a fancy-pants spread sissy-girl offense that hasn't played a single good defense yet. Teams like that are famous for getting smacked in the mouth by tough, physical teams like us.

I go back and forth between thinking like that and thinking that all their speed would cause match up problems. I mean I think we could beat any team in the country but sometimes the the speed of Oregon worries me a bit.

I was just thinking. Isn't it nice to be debating which top 3 team matches up with the Irish the best instead of debating why they lost to Tulsa?

Yep and good thing A&M joined the SEC. They are the best offense in that conference. Though they lost to Bama and LSU.

They play Bama next week. They've lost to Florida and LSU

I would like to point out that Lee Corso said that we should be #1 in the country because of our schedule. Herbie said we should be #3 and DESMOND HOWARD said we should be #2 on Gameday today.

This is the start of what I was talking about earlier in this thread. The college football talking heads see the writing on the wall. They are starting to grease the Notre Dame PR Machine. I promise you, that if we continue winning (and I expect us to) that the noise will only get louder. The computer polls isn't what is holding us back in the BCS rankings, and the computers are the more difficult polls to get on your side. The rest of the BCS poll is human based. It's public perception. No one can deny the polarizing nature of Notre Dame, and if we keep winning, the human perception of our team is limitless.

This is a big year fellas.... real big.

0.00001% chance that we jump an undefeated Oregon, Bama, or KSU.

Could LSU jump us if they win out (including SEC championship game)? Or UGA?

It's considerably better than 3OT vs. Pitt.

I don't see it that way at all...Your D gives up that many points, thats a clear weakness...we were flat, O executed poorly, but O lit it up in the end. Our D is always tough.

Oregon's D was never present...at all.

Our D looked pretty bad the first half I'd say. Granted we didn't give up 50 points but still.

ND #3 because ALA loses this game.

We need Kstate or ORE to lose.

I see ND slipping to a BCS #4... with or without an LSU win.

LSU wins...
1. K-State
2. Oregon
3. LSU
4. ND

Bama wins...
1. Alabama
2. K-State
3. Oregon
4. ND

I would like to see how the Daffy Ducks are vs Stanford...

I'm afraid they're going to stomp Stanford. The Trees don't have the offense to keep it close. Just don't see Stanford's D holding them down much. But that's why they play the game, and I'll certainly be watching.
