I wish Corey the very best at Wisconsin. This kid is gonna be a heck of a ballplayer at the next level. Wish we would have had room for him, but we had other needs that were more important to fill.

best of luck to him, cant argue with a RB choosing to play for Wisky, will be following in the steps of Ron Dayne, a fellow NJ native.

I'm really disappointed we couldn't pick up this kid. Wish him the best. Wisconsin is a great destination if you're a power back. Who wouldn't want to have that line up front!?

I guess this Wisconsin coaching news gives us an opening if we want to try to get back in with Clement.

Don't think we'll do that until we know what's up with Bryant though.

Name to watch if and only if we miss on both Folston and Bryant.

Clement is one hell of a prospect though... no idea why we didn't just take his commitment in the first place. Oh well.

I've been wondering the same thing ... Supposedly we will take both Folston and Bryant ... so why weren't we willing to take both Folston and Clement in September when Clement visited? It doesn't add up.

Didn't we have Jamel James at the time?

One Slot/RB guy = Folston

One Powerback = Bryant or James or Clement

Oh Lord of course you are right ... my brain must be zapped from a full day of worrying about Diaco, lol.

I think scholarship numbers are starting to shake out differently than they were when Clement was in the position of offering a commitment. That's my only theory.

You're able to almost certainly count out James and Mattingly now... before you couldn't do that, at least with James. Bryant wasn't in the picture, and Bryant is a pretty beast prospect in his own right. We potentially have some more medical spots opening up that I don't think existed at that point in time... recruiting is always just such a fluid process sometimes it's hard to make heads and tails of it all.

My theory:

1) We would have taken Clement if James did not committ, the goal was either plus Folston.
2) Since that time we got invited to the NC.
3) Folston and Bryant now possible, if not likely.

Hopefully this weekend will clarify where we stand with Bryant. If not, I say go after Clement and pretend he had committed instead of James (I am assuming James is on his way out. The point is not to get greedy and holding out for both Folston AND Bryant). Then be happy if one of the other follows. If both want to come, maybe it works and maybe it doesn't.

This and I would love to get CC on board.

if he becomes a college cornerback I will seriously believe you are a prophet.
lol. I like him better at RB. I was just saying get him on the team and if he ends up at corner great, just get him. Anyway he would be great at either position.

Do we know if he is solid to Wisconsin? Who is gonna coach that team anyway?

Looking like Barry Alvarez will coach the Rose Bowl.

I have heard very little about a permanent hire though. I'm still shocked that BB would leave Wisconsin for Arkansas. I honestly believe Wisconsin is the better job by a long shot.
