Did it happen today? I didn't hear it or remember it stopping a play.
I had to watch the game on mute at work and of the 60 minutes of the game I probably only watched 30mins live.
Did something happen during the game that this subject is being brought up? or just a "random" thread?

Yes, 2nd to last play of game.
I heard it too, seconds ago and I heard it on the opposite end of the field on the goalline in the first half.
I heard the second one at the game also, coming from the same location you mentioned. How anyone could hear a whistle the second to last play of the game is beyond me though.

I don't think it is a "physical" whistle, but rather an ability to do a whistle with the persons mouth.
That sounds kinky... i'm gonna see if the wifey can do that...
Can we be penalized? Didnt we get penalized or something for the crowd being too loud against Michigan in 1994?
... but his dad knew a guy in high school ...
Too young to know about 94 but the idea that a crowd can be flagged for being too loud is nonsense. However, I do believe the team can be flagged for whistles in the stands.
This is hilarious guys. I obviously agree that it should be stopped if someone is intentionally doing it, but ... this is just great reading.
Have you watched the replay?
He also said the music is played way too loud and way too long.
The penalty called in the Michigan game was for "Delay of Game" since the Michigan players claimed/mimed/feigned that they weren't able to run a play "due to the noise."
The "Too Loud Crowd" nonsense was silenced soon after.
