Offered yesterday, his first offer. Didn't seem to have much interest prior to the offer as he only really talked about the Cali schools and Bama.

Payton and Adams trying to convince him to go to UCLA.

I like his size, but from what you just said, I doubt he leaves the West.

Will visit for Stanford game per 247. Michigan has picked up interest. Still talking a lot about USC...

Very cool! Nice to have these 14' kids in early and show them what it's like when ND is winning!

Exactly. Our staff has been incredible at recruiting and getting kids interested in ND.

They really are doing a great job! This is what we all have been waiting for for a long time! On top of everything if LSU can pull this game off ND=top 5 team in America! I'm so happy haha!

As a junior this season, Dawkins has completed 108 of 178 passes for 12 touchdowns and 10 interceptions for the 6-1 Lions, who visit Calabasas on Friday.

Dunno about this

Junior quarterback Brandon Dawkins remains high on #NotreDame trip, recruitment remains status quo ($) : http://bit.ly/VXIdVd

I'm not sure if anyone else follows him on twitter, but his profile has a pic of him in his ND gear and he seems to still be really high on us. IMO he is our best option for 2014 qb with interest.

Is he even good? His stats are not impressive.

His stats don't look that great, but neither do Shane Morris'. He has the size and athleticism with a lot of potential. I feel like With Golson, Kiel, and Zaire we can take a risk on this kid turning into a stud.

There is another guy I think is overrated.

Difference is Michigan is expecting Morris to be able to start next year, whereas Dawkins probably wouldn't get a shot until his junior year.

That's very true! That system has worked pretty well for USC with there line of Upperclassmen QB's dating back to Palmer.

Liked his size and willingness to put his head down and run. Definitely needs some mechanics work to shorten up that motion. Also might worry about accuracy with more competitive db's. With that said he's got a lot of time to work on it. Coach Martin has watched him in person and liked what he saw.

Hate to say it but Vince Young comes to mind. Just imagine what he could do if those receivers actually threw a block for him.

Not that I really know what I'm talking about, but his footwork looks like it needs a lot of work. And his legs looks really rigid when he's dropping back. Can anyone who knows anything weigh in on that?

He's making all the throws needed to run a BK offense. Hes not the strongest arm'd kid, not the fastest, or most agile...but he gets the ball out and where it needs to be. Think Byron Leftwich
