His film shows he is very well coach but the thing I was most impressed with is his use of his hands. You don't see a lot of kids with that good of hands. Excellent on his run fits which allow him to use his strength and so quick to gets OL hands off him on his pass rushes.

His speed and athleticism are also off the charts but how often you do see guys lack some technique because of that.

AM looks to have the frame to operate effectively @ 280lbs. Just not sure if he has the speed to play OLB. I believe this staff wants to keep getting faster on the edge. He looks thick now. Wait until he starts going through Camp Longo. Very good chance he becomes another player like Day (5 tech.)

He's a natural pass rusher, who's extremely explosive and agile so why would want to mess with that?

His skill set is ideal for 4-3 DE or in ND's 3-4 as a Cat OLB.

He's much bigger than you think it's just that he's not that generically bulky like most of us that worked out to be bigger, he's got that ideal lean body mass bulk and has max of about 260-265 lbs if he wants to keep his quickness and agility.

People will bring up that KLM and Kona went from a similar height and weight and added the size and that's true but just because of that it doesn't mean they have the same frame to add that size and the fact that they weren't the same level of athlete and for KLM to be as good as he could be it had to be done with size and strength because he was nowhere near the same level athlete that AM is.

First, off everybody is entitled to their own opinion on where this AM could or should play. But if you read any of the recent articles on BGI or II on what the ND staff is currently still recruiting you'll see that is has been stated. Our staff sees him and a 3-4 OLD that when we go to a 4 down lineman set he'll go to DE. BGI's tunnel vision from last week stated that we are no longer recruiting for the Dline. Matuska and Rochell in that group and AM in another.

What is printed and what we should have learned from the staff sometimes varies. You can't predict how big a kid gets after high school. At the end of the day the above post was just my opinion. The staff will put AM where they want him to play and help mold his body for that position.

Not trying to argue, thats why I stated you are entitled to your opinion. The point of my post was to point out the staff's opinion of him.

So it's down to ND & Rutgers. What other schools were after him?

TV said he wants to take visits to Southern Cal and Bama, just to give them a fair shot.

BGI backed off of this a little bit this week ... Sapp said today that part of what makes Muhammad such a great prospect is that he is a perfect OLB/DE hybrid right now, but he has the potential to grow into a full-time defensive lineman. Not sure whether that is 247's assessment or our coaching staff's though.

To a lot of previous posts I stand corrected. Sapp has posted numerous times today on this topic. And his conclusion is he will only be at CAT OLB momentarily and his real future is with his hand in the ground. So to all those that we stating that, he is me eating my crow.

His game this Friday vs Paramus Catholic will be streamed on the web here at:

MSGVarsity.com live game schedule - MSG Varsity

Or if anyone is in the tri state area, they can watch it on MSG varsity

Bumping this for anyone who wants to watch. Just turned it on and saw Bosco score their second TD. 14-0 up about half-way through 2nd quarter.

edit: Just showed some Bosco defensive highlights. Looks like Alquadin had a forced fumble on a QB sack which Bosco recovered.

edit 2: Just had a fumble recovery to go with his earlier forced fumble.

Thanks for the bump! Alquadin just recovered a fumble when I turned it on :) Fun to watch some of these unedited... they're raving about him now.

Watching him live I could definitely see him growing into a DE.

Damn he just crushed Peppers.

he number 1?

Yep!

Re: Peppers hit. The announcers said something like "Muhammad and Jabril Peppers. Friends once, but they're friends no more." I hope that's just hyperbole / hype... wouldn't mind both of them on campus in a couple years :)

Muhammad could really be an elite pass rusher in college, I mean really elite.
