Don't worry Nick, you can always give them a Medical Hardship scholarship (that you're known to use) and just keep oversigning to fill their position.

He's just looking out for the best interests of Nick Saban, not his players. He doesn't care if his players are at risk, it's the risk on the scoreboard he's concerned about. The uptempo pace of play has given teams more of a chance when they are at a physical disadvantage.

This reminds me of the time he said he "Missed" how the Big 10 operated when it came to the recruitment. Specifically, the gentlemen's agreement on already verballed players and to leave them alone.

Yea, I'm sure you do Nick. You mention the one portion of Big 10 recruiting that, if instituted in the SEC, would benefit you, but leave out the little idea of the Big 10 only being able to oversign 3 players per year, and even then you have to explain it to the Big 10 office. I'm guessing you don't miss that and the old days with your 25-30 player classes.

This kind of irritated me, I cant believe Nick Saban would say something like that and it didnt even make sense. If your players arent ready, YOU arent doing your job coach, just because you dont play that way doesnt mean it is bad for the game.

I lost a LOT of respect for Nick Saban off this comment. The guy thinks he can say whatever he wants because he has a couple rings. I am glad the ESPN guys took a stance and told him straight up that he was wrong.

He didnt invent football, he has no say in what should be legal or illegal in terms of offensive styles. Maybe Alabama should get pummeled for oversigning every-year... like, well you know, they should because it is against the rules.

He does not want to play Oregon, that is a fact. Oregon almost beat the Auburn team that beat Alabama. On the other hand, Alabama matches up perfectly against run-first, pro-style teams like LSU.

Look at what happened in the Michigan game. Michigan got jacked up from play 1. Denard looked like he dropped the soap in the shower.

Alabama can go man to man outside and still stack the box. They have safties and DBs that can play LB and LBs that can cover like safeties. Allgator is pretty much right. I always hear about Oregon's speed and I have seen their games this year. SEC defense is just as quick and athletic.

I have yet seen anyone in the last three years successfully pull off a no-huddle offense against Alabama or LSU. If they did, kudos, just dont think it will happen. You can't stop all substitutions. Their advantage is their versatility as stated in my post above.

I agree it is wierd for him to complain about it. I am not defending Saban ( i have no love for ALabama), but there is a ring of truth to it. In the last two SEC v. Oregon games, Cam Newton and co. beat Oregon on a last second FG in the NC, and LSU beat Oregon by 13 after oregon fumbled on consecutive possessions in the 3rd Q in their first game of the year. It was not a blow-out. Oregon still scored 27 on LSU and Oregon's defense has improved.

Yes I am sober and I would like our chances with a month on prep nothing special about that team. Its amazing how Oregon doesn't look so great when they play people with real defensive front 7's and corners who can cover 1 vs 1.
