Bored and just wanting to look at what is coming in the next few years, I was looking at Scout's recruiting site and looking at what is coming ND's way. Jeez Loueez fellas, ladies, and Irish fandoms, we got some big boys coming....

4 - OTs 6-7/292, 6-7/287, 6-7/265, and 6-6/297
1 - TE 6-6/225
1 - OG 6-5/295

I'm all about smash-mouth, and this should help!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

I know this should be in the recruiting section but my God, I had to put this out here. I am thrilled and can't wait to see their talent in Irish territory!!!!!!!

GO IRISH!!!!!!!!

You know what,.... five or six years ago I would have taken offense or even blasted someone for your statement, but as Irish fans, I think we have waited long enough. It is time WE started getting some players like this and playing like we are. I truly believe in Kelly and what he and his staff are bringing to ND. - Nope brother, it is time for ND to be arrogant and start making statements and this type of O-Line is where it starts.....

Look at the ND roster already, looks like an overweight basketball team. Other than Toma.

Tru-Dat.... But that overweight basketball team is playing tough and winning ball games. Hopefully they will have agility and a little speed. Smarts I'm not worried about...... Football smart should become smarter.... Man it gets me excited talking about it....

My brother and I had an interesting argument about the size of these lineman and how Kelly was going to have the offense he had (spread or whatever you want to call it) at Cincy and replicate it at ND. I called him a few choice names and said why does everyone think what worked there will work at ND? Anyways, I did take to heart some of the things he said and and wanted to look at the spread and the size of the lineman. Looking at Oregon, I don't think Kelly would have a problem if he wants to install the spread with the size of the boys we have now and what is coming in. Speed is huge at Oregon and the size of the lineman seems not to matter there either looking at their starters:

LT 74 Darrion Weems 6-5 302
LG 77 Carson York 6-5 292
C 55 Hroniss Grasu 6-3 291
RG 79 Mark Asper 6-7 325
RT 61 Nick Cody 6-5 301

The dynamics of Kelly's recruiting philosophy is really starting to show! I love the size, speed, and versatility of the players he is bringing in and you guys are right, it is showing on the field. Just gotta get the offensive system into high gear and we will be rolling!

Did I miss this or did these players already sign and send in their letters of intent?

I know they are only 'verbal' commits right now. Don't get me wrong, they aren't singing Our Lady yet..... but, they are currently verbally committed and we will see come next year if they are still Irish..... but you cannot deny their size and hopefully signing the dotted line will come next!!!!!!!!!!

Once the experience in the secondary catches up with the sheer talent and depth in the front seven... Sweet Jesus.

Three years ago, who would've thought it would be the offense that needed work and not the other way around?

I understand you're excitement and share it, but we still need to finish this year strong. If we do, these verbals will definitely sign. Anyone who is watching ND closely (and you have to assume the verbals and offered) are will see that the Irish are back to being "The Fighting Irish" and even better things are to come.

No doubt brother and I totally agree with you 100% - one game at a time and let's worry about Miami and the boys we have now!!!!

But I haven't felt this way in years. I'm sick and tired of being sick and tired and I know you know what I mean. I know a lot of Irish fans here and everywhere know what I mean.

But sometimes you have to feel the excitement and put some of the bad sh!t behind you and look forward - not too forward but enough to keep the dream!!!!

I love my Irish and hope that those that read this forum know that there is a wind in the air and it is time that wind pushes us from behind than in our faces!!!

Well Kelly didn't lie, day 1 he came in and said that he was going to start by building a championship defense. So far looks good!

I remember the talk being of how 'high-powered' the offense would be when both Weis and Kelly took over. Kelly and Diaco have killed it on the defensive side and looks to be continuing. Now that Kelly is getting some players in on offense, next year or the year after should be very interesting to say the least.

Army of RB's + Huge O-Line = shotgun spread?

I'm Ron Burgundy?

I expect ND to be a top ten team every year (at the end of the season) and hopefully in the discussion for BCS/NC/Final 4 every year.

Look at what we've been able to accomplish against good teams with pretty questionable offense. As the offense grows and starts to click ND is going to be a force. I am happy with what BK has done thus far. Let's keep it up!

I've said it before and I'll say it again. This reminds me of when Ara took over. Get the defense clicking then the offense. Things are beginning to come together.
