Theres a running joke in my line of work. People that carry Sigs don't take life seriously enough to carry a good gun.

Funny, but I would think the Seals take their lives pretty seriously haha. The full metal frames are a little pricey, but I just love em. I'm a big history nerd too so I really want WWII 1911 and a Colt SAA. Love those guns.

HAHA, oddly enough, that joke came from knowing and working with Navy Seals. Very few people get to know the truth about them.

That's interesting. I'd love sit down and hear some stories. Going to be reading the Chris Kyle autobiography on a few weeks. Should be interesting.

Her it is. I had the Ranger Tab and Scroll engraved on the top slide.

Sharp! Do you have to feed it match ammo or will it take anything?

If youre interested in reading seal history. Get some books about the Panama war, Robert's ridge- Operation Anaconda, and there are some other books written recently. I think red wings may have been one.

Match for now. Once it loosens a bit Ill be putting cheaper range ammo through it.

How long does it take from when you order it to when you get it? Also if you don't mind me asking what the ballpark price was?

If you want it personalized from the factory. It is going to take longer. It took alomost 11 months from the time I placed the order to the time I got the word it had been completed.

A lot of factors went into that long of a wait.
First, I ordered a supergrade. Wilson Combat only has so many "Master gunsmiths" that are allowed to work on their "supergrade" 1911's.
Second, I had it engraved at the factory. I didnt want to find someone else to do it and then have to worry about having the finish redone.

The total price when I ordered it was around $5K (the price of all their 1911s has increased by $750 each since then). By far my most expensive gun. But you get what you pay for. And the supergrades come with WC "Bulletproof" parts. Which means the gun has a life time factory gaurantee. Its gauranteed sub 1" at 25 yards and it definitely delivers on that!

Im in the process off all my other mass produced handguns.

Truth. I couldn't recommend one these days. They've had reliability issues for quite some time now.

Yes I did. I like the look of the ars. If there was one thing I could change about my ar is it could be a flat top like those. You sticking with the flip ups or are you going to slap some sights on it?

I want to put optics for sure but that is going to be a later addition because I want to get nice ones, either EO Tech or Trijicon but Im closing on a house in 3 weeks so I cant spend the scoot. Im thinking of a holo and flip to the side magnification scope like an aimpoint too....ohh the decisions!

Yeah down payment and closing costs are probably a better thing to put your money towards right now. I like my Trijicon. It is a freaking bullet proof optic but it is really pricey. I haven't played with a EO or Aim but I know the ar forum I wander around on has them for sale a lot Non FFL Firearm and Gear Accessories - AR15 Armory.com I wish you would have mentioned the aimpoint and flip to the side magnifier last week because there was a dude running a really good deal on his setup he was selling.

Any recommendation on a 22LR?

No one responded to you yet, so I will jump in. What kind of .22LR you looking for and what do you want it for? If you are just plinking there are lots of great affordable options out there. I love the Ruger 10/22. It can just go basic or there are all sorts of fun, tacti-cool upgrades available. You can find a bunch of styles that look like AR's, but are .22LR. There are also some really fun match grade target 22's.

Really depends on what you want to use it for - plinking, target shooting, varmint control, self defense (not really recommended) or just for affordability.
