I definitely vote for 6 minute quarters. I think we advance every Sunday at midnight but i could be wrong.

I'm all for 6 minutes with the sliders you suggested. I like the Sunday advance, but would vote for a second advance on Wednesday for two a week if everyone is alright with that.

Sunday and Wednesday would be great for me as well. The slider set I use rocks...just played on my other dynasty (with Notre Dame) against Florida in the Swamp, in a rain storm. I had Hendrix at QB since Army hauled off and broke Golson's hand the week before! I won 17-10 with Florida's 4th down try hitting the turf in my end zone because Teo crushed their QB.
Good stats, turnovers and penalties. Thanks everyone for adopting my settings, I think you'll like the challenge...it's a refreshing change.

Just tried this for roster update (theIrishLion10) and it isn't updated. Shwenke at DE, McDaniel at CB, Russell at WR etc.

I don't doubt u made a good roster but the one available for download isn't updated, unless I missed up the psn

My apologies, I haven't uploaded my most recent roster to my locker. I will do that here shortly if you want them. I always forget to update my EA Locker when I make changes.

Got my game in. Sorry about the disconnect, some out of town friends just passing through came over.
It has it marked as 2 restarts...apparently they haven't fixed the restart counting system yet. It did the same thing last year.

whoa whoa whoa. When was the week advanced? I literally just finished playing my game against UNC and won with a kickoff return TD with no time left (final 56-52). I signed off only to find that the commisioner had made changes, so I needed to restart my game. I was kinda upset at having to restart a game that I won in such amazing fashion (I was down 21 to start the fourth, tied it, went down by a field goal with 2 seconds left, and then returned the final kickoff for TD), but then it logged me out. When I got back on, the week was advanced and my game was simulated as a 35-14 loss. WTF?

Not sure actually, but I bet it might have been when AndyInSactown was moving the week (late) and then transferring the commissioner to me. That truly blows, and even though I wasn't involved directly, as new commish I'll apologize.

Now, here's the deal with the direction the dynasty is going to go under me. This is my second dynasty I am running online, and I have been playing this game since the first model back in 1996 (or so they say is the beginning of the franchise...I don't even remember to be honest). With my other dynasty, we are using the roster from Operation Sports Forums (like this one) and we are using a Heisman Slider Set (an average score per category of all their major sets) to increase the difficulty and create more realistic games. So far, it's been epic...most games the CPU actually has a run game, some passes are great, others suck, there's some penalties, and most games are more 28-14 slugfests.

I suggest everyone try out these settings on your own machine at home before playing your dynasty game (unless people want to start over or something from Week One) because if you aren't paying attention, they will kick you in the nuts. LOL

The current problem we seem to be facing is that I cannot get the quarter length to change. I don't know why that is, as I can change every other setting and get it to stick. My guess is that it's another of the little glitches EA is famous for, meaning it would be a problem they won't get around to fixing for months if at all. I did some checking on Operation Sports forums and people are currently having several different problems with OD, but none specifically with quarter length.

So, this leads me to ask you all, the faithful members of this OD. Do you want to stay with the 8 minute quarters or would you prefer the 6 minute quarters? Personally, I think 8 minute quarters are far too long because the games get higher stats than normal / needed and the games take longer. Six minute quarters have shown in my other dynasty to be the perfect time for realistic stat lines and are a comfortable time spent playing.

Unfortunately though, it seems like the only way to get to the 6 minute quarters and have them stick is to start over. So, what do you guys all recommend doing? I know Andy in Sactown and I are both in a position where the six minute quarters would be a lot easier for us to pull off on a bi-weekly basis. Please chime in and let me know your thoughts since we're still in Season One. I postponed the advance until I could get this quarter issue resolved and a few players needed to play a head-to-head.

My vote is for a restart... six minute quarters are much better. Plus, I got a bogus loss that will continue to bother me if we continue haha

I'm not very good at the game this year, I just don't have time to devote to playing much more than our OD.
