Losing to Michigan. It can't happen. I don't care what the scoreboard says, ND was the better team for at least 2 years in a row. They lost both games and stupidity and lack of execution. If they lose again it will be because they turned the ball over or did not execute. In year 3 under Kelly, that is unacceptable.

I agree completely. I almost burned the town down last year. If that happens again I'll probably get arrested.

Losing to Navy, Purdue, BC, Wake Forest, Pitt, BYU, or Miami. Those are all teams we are CLEARLY better than and have no business losing to. Sparty, UM, USC, Oklahoma, and Stanford are all better or equal but we still shouldn't lose all 5 of those games.

I know you're basically the board pessimist, and looking at the schedule I could see 7-5, 6-6 but that would be if EVERYTHING went wrong. I think they will be 8-4. 9-3 if they drop a game they SHOULD win. They SHOULD be 10-2

Dropping a pass is one thing, but going for the winning score against michigan-cocking back to throw-and the ball flying out of your hand is unacceptable at any level above High School JV. Dont even get me started about Dayne thinking hes in the world cup and kicking the dropped snap from the 1 against USC.

You're right. Players make mistakes. But the way this team makes mistakes is outrageous. And no, it doesn't fall on coaching, when you choose an accountant you expect him to beable to add. When you recruit big time football players, there is an expectation that they are atleast competent enough to handle the basics of football.

I hope Kelly isn't yelling and turning purple but because he has no reason to. Regardless, my gut feeling is that we wont be having these debates anymore because the team will be a lot stronger, and mentally disciplined

One word, TURNOVERS. Unacceptable period! Just can not have them. They were the number 1 reason we lost last season.
Also, secondary performance if it is anything similar to last season would be unacceptable.

I don't think thats what hes getting at. Hes bashing just fair-catching not Goodman fair catching. In fact, the structure of his sentence makes it seem like he's fine with Goodman being back there. So long as he doesn't solely fair catch every time

My bad, perhaps i jumped the gun because last year everyone was calling for John Goodman's head when he would fair catch. Even though he had 3-4 guys in his face every time.
