My Fantasy Team, Watcha Think?

This weekend I did my first live draft which I'm sure most of you have but for those who haven't I highly recomend it! That said I wanted you guys to give me your thoughts on my squad.

QB- Tom Brady
RB- Adrian Peterson
RB- Marshawn Lynch
WR- Stevie Johnson
WR- Desean Jackson
TE- Jermaine Gresham
K- Robbie Gould
D- Buffalo

Key bench guys

Depends on how you do scoring, (PPR or not), but that team is stacked. Hopefully AP works out for you.

How many players are in your league? For 10 person(usually standard for me) that looks a little weak no offence.

You are correct. I got a little giddy looking at a fantasy roster and jumped the gun. I can't wait for my drafts.

Buffalo... eh. But you can play the match-ups. I generally don't have the same D on my team for more than 2 weeks. (unless they are a top 5 D). Just some advice.

Yeah I know my backups are a little rough but I had to take Mikey haha! I'm taking a risk with Buffalo I know but they really could be rewarding! Yeah it's a 10 man league and that's how I've always played and I'm not sure about the points system. Peterson was just a risk I had to take!

For a 10 team league playing 2 WRs... I would be very disappointed with that team. Brady is great. Arguably should be the #2 overall pick this year depending on your scoring... as low as late first with unfriendly scoring. I'm guessing you went QB, RB, RB... AP and Lynch both have very high upside in non-PPR leagues, but also extremely high risk. Heck, Lynch is prolly even going to be suspended for the first 4 games. But to each his own there. If those guy stay healthy and hit their ceiling... you'll look like a genius and just those 2 + Brady can carry your team.

What I don't like is what you did at WR and TE. I'm assuming your 4th round pick was Jackson... a guy I loathe in all fantasy setups but especially PPR. Stevie Johnson is an incredibly questionable guy to be your #2 WR with only one quality year to his name and with how his production was quite "meh" after the opening 3 weeks. And Gresham is just god awful compared to premium TEs out there... if you're playing in a league where you only have 5 positional starters Gronk, Graham, etc. become must-pick guys because their value over replacement is huge. The TE is a whopping 20% of your positional scoring.

If I had the first pick I would go with Rodgers. If I had the first pick in a ppr I would probably go with McCoy, just my opinion.

No prob, bob. Also sorry if comments are too harsh lol... I just re-read my post and it was kinda dickish.

First, you took Brady over Rodgers? Jeepers. Also, in a QB friendly scoring format with so few positional starters I'm definitely OK taking Rodgers/Brady at #1/#2... if unfriendly QB scoring then Ray Rice, Arian Foster and LeSean McCoy all need to come off the board first.

Second, assuming serpentine draft, AP with the #20 pick is a good gamble... DeSean Jackson #21 is crazy..... Marshawn Lynch #40 is incredibly awesome. Lynch should never make it out of the late 2nd/early 3rd in any scenario.

As a rule of thumb... I never take a QB in the first 3 rounds. There are plenty of serviceable signal callers out there to get you by. I generally take RB and WR in the first few rounds unless there is a QB sitting that I can't pass up. Just my draft strategy and it works awfully well for me.

Nice team LAX. Marshall is going to go off this year. Reunited with Cutler. Mmmm... as a Bears fan, I can't wait for this season.
