I've heard this writer Lee has a history of blowing smoke but if payments made/promised and a car received can be proved, who knows.

I'll shut up if this turns out to be even remotely true, but 3 things of note

1. Jeff Lee is a long established hack
2. It's coming out of Auburn. If any program needed to desperately deflect right about now, it would be them.
3. Calloway was a long time commitment to Alabama first, decided to switch to Auburn a month before NSD (not gonna start any conspiracy theories here like the Barner folk), and then went back to Alabama. Not to mention the fact that there's a link in the article about how his dad wasn't pleased with his short-lived switcheroo

But hey. The dead tree thing died down so they need something else to deflect the negative attention. Smart move for going to the paying players route since it seems to be a hot topic in CFB. Touche.

Business as usual-Saban doesnt want this to happen (not because he's that honest just his ego would take a real blow). With that said I believe there is smoke here-the kid was going to Auburn after changing his mind from Bama. Take it for what's its worth (just my opinion) but this is old news down here in SEC country. They're good and they get their $$$$ worth, win at all cost baby.

Well isn't this the same thing as the Aaron Lynch saga??? Kids can change their minds.

Now that they're blowing the whistle on each other, maybe we'll see some changes...
