Kurt!



Allow me a digression here. I was milling around in a crowd gathered for an outdoor screening of Citizen Kane on a wall of the old field house, circa 1973. Bumped into a classmate and good friend, Kurt. When I mentioned that I hadn't seen the movie he took great delight in blurting out that Rosebud was the sled. I cursed and then forgave him.
He passed away a few years ago and I miss him. I think of him every time I hear "spoiler alert." In some respects Kurt is one of my Rosebuds.
