Who would you like to see on future schedules?

I think people just get used to their state. I've lived in Pennsylvania for a long time now, and people come here and say it's so beautiful. But, it doesn't seem like much to me.

I think you were sleepy. I live here and there is nothing great about TN. The only thing fun is riding The Dragon with friends on my CBR or making a road trip with bunch of other S2K owners..

I will have to disagree with you on this 100%. While Tennessee may not be the prettiest, richest, or most appealing state as a whole, the college enviornment here is amazing. They are crazy about their football and pack Neyland full week in and week out. I live ten minutes away from Neyland stadium deep in the heart of SEC country. All I ever hear about is how any school outside of the SEC means nothing, and play weak schedules. Im beyond tired of it and would love again for us to stroll down here and break Tyler Bray's arm.
In all seriousness, it would be a very good series to get up and running again.
1. Helps national recruiting
2. Elite opponent
3. Good venue

One of the few SEC teams willing to travel, willing to play real competition, and willing to play ND.

Regardless of who won, these games have been hard fought and have taken a toll injurywise on both teams. Both teams have struggled or lost to lessor opponents after meeting.

They can't use that line now!

Series between Tennessee and North Carolina likely shelved - ESPN

They're going replace UNC with Buffalo.. LOL! As for recruiting, there is not much top talent in the state of TN. There is more talent in North Carolina than there is in TN. The only pitch I see them using is the quote unquote we play SEC teams like ect..

I agree. Right now Tennessee is ducking anyone they can. To replace UNC with Buffalo shows where their program is. I dont think there is a ton of talent here but we've done ok! (Golden Tate, Harrison Smith, etc)
To me its just a prime time game against a nationally reckognized team. It would be good for us. I love what we've done with Texas and Miami and Oklahoma.

Tenn will be ducking everybody for a few years.. Bama chicken out on playing ND. It happens I just find it funny that Vol fans rip on other teams when they have really no room to talk. They went to OT against Air Force a few years back and they only won because Air Force had the balls to go for 2..

Buffalo made a nice turnaround under Turner Gill. An almost miraculous turnaround. They went from doormat to MAC champs.

From what he's showed, I would not use Harrison Smith when referring to talent from Tennessee.

I'd like to see a little mini-series with Nebraska. I think that would be entertaining. The other couple I was thinking about was Penn State and maybe Cincinnati, now that Kelly has left them. Another possibility I've always wanted to see is Ohio State. I live in Ohio, so all I hear about is how great Ohio State is. I find it to be annoying.

Not too many people know about them, but they are some good stuff. Under the radar I guess...

Mount Union is down the road from me in Alliance. I've heard they've won a few games in Div III, but I'd need to check (/levity).

Back in the day, most of the football players were in the same fraternity as mine (although I was at Akron U.); not sure if that's the case anymore.

Agreed. Ohio State is annoying. Any program with such an inferiority complex that feels compelled to add the prefix "The" to their name needs therapy.

However, they do have awesome German chow at Der Schmidt Haus (which is where I took my avatar photo) in German Village just south of downtown (if you're into that type of thing).

Mmmm... snausages!

Probably would enjoy that. I'm from Dayton.

He hasnt been amazing but hes also been out of his natural position and been put thru defensive scheme changes. I would have to respectfully disagree with you when you question him as not being talented. Without him where r we with our defensive backfield this year? Hes the anchor for us right now.

I don't understand why anyone would want to see a revival of the ND-Miami series. I think anyone that wants to step in shit deserves to get their feet dirty. And those that say "to beat the best"... are hiding behind their comps while encouraging others to step in shit.

Why not keep on playing new teams from other conferences? Keep the Navy and Army thing going.

I'd even go as far as saying to end the USC thing. That was Rockne's gig.

to be the best you gotta.....oh....uhh.. watch out for that shit over there.

i'm a fan of the mia game for 1 because i know ill be able to see my irish down here in sunny south florida!

but #1 and #2 teams i want on the schedule is ohio state and lsu. avenge our terrible losses.

I hear the MIT cheerleaders are robots.

"Cosign, cosign... square root of three... let's score some points before I climb a tree!"

(I just made that up... need to cut down my coffee intake)

Cosine as in ...

e to the x, dy/dx, e to the x dx
cosine, secant, tangent, sine,
three point one four one five nine
square root, cube root, log of pi,
dis-integrate them RPI

Props to the geeks of Rensselear Poly of 1913.

In football, to be the best, you have to beat the best. ONCE. Don't schedule the good teams every week back to back.

You can go undefeated almost all your life in events like track and field or golf or checkers or spelling bees, but football is violent. Lou Gehrig's disease anyone? Anyone?

Notre Dame had a home and home under contract and when Alabama went on probation, their AD called ND an asked to be let out of the contract because Bama feared they wouldn't be competitive with ND with the loss of scholarships.

Schools that have divisions and a championship game aren't very interested. They don't want to play Navy.
This is true so lets renew- oops sorry guys didnt mean to double post, you can delete this if you like-my bad
